Brock Holt Nominated For Roberto Clemente Award, Will Be Honored At Fenway Park

Share this: Brock Holt is getting some recognition for his charity off the field. The Boston Red Sox super utility man is the club’s nominee for the 2016 Roberto Clemente Award, Major League Baseball announced Tuesday. The league nominates a player from each of the 30 teams for the award, which goes to the player who best represents baseball through sportsmanship and community involvement. The Red Sox also will honor Holt with a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park on Sept. 15 for the 15th annual Roberto Clemente Day. Holt has been involved with the Jimmy Fund since joining the Red Sox in 2013 and has been a spokesperson for the charity for the past two years. The 28-year-old became a Jimmy Fund co-captain in 2015
