Was Teddy Bridgewater In Danger Of Losing His Leg After Severe Knee Injury?

Share this: Teddy Bridgewater suffered a pretty brutal injury that will sideline him for the entire season, but judging by recent reports, it appears he actually got pretty lucky. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback completely tore his left ACL and dislocated his knee while suffering a non-contact injury at practice Tuesday. Bridgewater’s injury was so bad that practice was canceled, and an ambulance had to be called to take him away. Turns out it was a good thing that ambulance came quickly. According to injury expert Will Carroll, there was a chance Bridgewater could have lost his leg had he not received immediate treatment. Source confirms tibiofemoral dislocation, ruptured ACL for Bridgewater. "Trainers may have saved his leg and career by quick action." — Will Carroll (@injuryexpert) August

College Football Picks 2016: Predicting Heisman Trophy Finalists, Winner

Share this: Week 1 of the college football season kicks off this weekend, and the best players in the nation will begin building their Heisman Trophy cases. Finishing the seasons strong often makes a huge difference with Heisman voters — recency bias is a real thing. That said, getting off to a good start is important as well, especially against ranked non-conference opponents on national television. Here are our predictions for the 2016 Heisman Trophy finalists. 1. Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson (Winner)Watson was incredible last season in leading the Tigers to within five points of a national title. He threw for 4,104 yards, 35 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. That’s amazing in its own right, but he also ran for 1,105 yards with 12 rushing touchdowns. If

Twitter Had A Good Time Making Fun Of Tom Brady’s New Haircut

Share this: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady met the media Tuesday for perhaps the last time in a while because he’s soon going to begin serving a four-game suspension stemming from Deflategate. It wasn’t Brady’s supportive remarks about backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo that caught everyone’s attention, though, it was his new haircut. Twitter, as expected, was all over it. Here’s some of the best reaction to Brady’s latest look. Mookie Betts Crushes 30th Homer, Joins Ted Williams In Elite Red Sox Company

Share this: BOSTON — Mookie Betts is in the midst of a dream season, and he doesn’t plan on waking up anytime soon. The Red Sox outfielder reached another milestone Monday night at Fenway Park in his very first at-bat against the Tampa Bay Rays. Betts hammered an 0-2 fastball from Rays starter Matt Andriese that deflected high off a sign atop the Green Monster in left field for a solo home run. It was the MVP candidate’s 30th long ball of the season, a remarkable feat for a 5-foot-9, 180-pound converted outfielder who entered 2016 with 23 homers over one and a half seasons. The blast, which traveled an estimated 402 feet, also put Betts in some pretty rare air. Mookie Betts has joined Ted

Patriots Vs. Panthers Live: Score, Highlights, Analysis Of Preseason Game In Car…

Share this: Third quarter, 6:49, Patriots 9-3: More ugliness on offense for the Patriots. Garoppolo and the Patriots just went three-and-out again. Garoppolo is 9 of 15 for 57 yards so far, and his performance has been worse than the numbers appear. Third quarter, 7:49, Patriots 9-3: The Panthers finally got on the board, and it was while Cam Newton was playing against the Patriots’ second-team defense. The Panthers had to settle for a field goal after incompletions from Newton on second and third down. Third quarter, 11:51, Patriots 9-0: The Patriots strung together a seven-play drive but turned the ball over on downs after LeGarrette Blount couldn’t pick up a yard on fourth down. Halftime, Patriots 9-0: Garoppolo struggled in the first half, while Brady made a

As Tom Brady Debuts, Jimmy Garoppolo Shows He Still Has Ways To Go

by Zack Cox on Fri, Aug 26, 2016 at 11:41PM 1,517 Though he completed just three of his nine passes, Tom Brady looked cool, calm and collected Friday night in his first game action of the 2016 preseason. He appeared at ease despite his long layoff, showing the sort of poise New England Patriots fans have come to expect from one of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks. The same could not be said about Jimmy Garoppolo. After promising performances against the New Orleans Saints and Chic... NESN.com
