Pedro Gomez Gets Roasted On Twitter For His Baseball Hall Of Fame Ballot

Share this: It’s that time of year when members of the Baseball Writers Association of America are casting their ballots for the Baseball Hall of Fame and, as always, controversy ensues. ESPN’s Pedro Gomez is the latest BBWAA member to be scrutinized for his ballot, which was released on Twitter on Monday. While one could make the argument that the four players Gomez voted for are worthy of the honor, it’s the players he omitted that caused a stir amongst fellow baseball writers. Rins talks injury, rookie pressure – and his aims for 2017

Alex Rins: “It was quite hard. I had a whole month in the corset and trying to rest, because back injuries are something to take seriously. The crash was a strange one because I fell, and then a couple of laps later my teammate, Andrea Iannone, fell in exactly the same place. We went through the telemetry trying to determine the cause but we didn’t find anything. I took the same trajectory, the front wheel locked, and I lost it.” Source link

Jae Crowder, John Wall At Center Of Celtics-Wizards Postgame Scuffle

Roma edge win, Rooney equals United record

Sunday's trip to face Genoa was Roma's first game of 2017, and the Giallorossi ensured a positive start to the year by clinching a 1-0 victory courtesy of Armando Izzo's own goal. That kept the capital side within four points of leaders Juventus, though they have played one game more. There was a little more flair to Manchester United's performance against Reading as José Mourinho's men progressed to the FA Cup fourth round via a 4-0 win. Rooney opened the scoring with his 249th goal for
