The accuser didn’t return contact to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office and charges were never pressed against Mumphrey. Ryan Lochte is banned from swimming through next June and will forfeit $100,000 in bonus money that went with his gold medal at the Olympics, part of the penalty for his drunken encounter at a gas station in Brazil during last month’s games. The International Tennis Federation dropped the hammer on Maria Sharapova on Wednesday. The ITF suspended Sharapova for two years after she tested positive for meldonium, a banned substance, at this year’s Australian Open. She already was provisionally suspended by the ITF after she announced her positive test at a shocking March press conference.
