Share this: New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett couldn’t hide his excitement Sunday night, and that apparently carried over into the morning. Bennett and the Patriots dismantled the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday night, earning a berth in Super Bowl LI. While Super Bowl trips almost are taken for granted in New England — the Patriots are making their NFL-record ninth trip to the big game — Bennett is getting his first taste. He understandably was overcome with joy Sunday night, dancing with the Patriots cheerleaders after the game and talking about how he was going to bake a celebratory cake. And while we’re not sure whether he actually baked that cake, it appears the big tight end spent

Lorenzo: "I'm counting down the days to Sepang!"
JL99: “It was a big shock. More than anything, before getting on the bike, seeing the garage all in red with different people and sponsors…It made a big impact on me, but I got used to it bit by bit. Getting on the bike made a big impact too, because there are a lot of differences compared to my previous bike. But I saw there were a lot of positives, as well as some things to improve. Source link
Patriots Notes: Nate Solder Prepping For Tough Test Vs. Jadeveon Clowney
by Zack Cox on Mon, Jan 9, 2017 at 4:49PM 1,039 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — Some notes from Monday as the New England Patriots began preparations for this weekend’s divisional-round rematch with the Houston Texans: — Jadeveon Clowney typically lines up on the defensive right side, meaning Patriots left tackle Nate Solder will be seeing a whole lot of the Texans’ freakishly athletic pass rusher Saturday night. After battling injuries throughout his first two NFL seasons, Clowney finally elevated his game in 2016, recording six sacks and earning second-team All-Pro honors. He managed just one tackle and no sacks in Houston’s wild-card-round win over the Oakland Raiders but picked off one pass and broke up two others. “Well, you see the guy, and he’s naturally

Celtics Wrap: Al Horford’s All-Around Game Leads Boston To Win Vs. Kings
Share this: If the Boston Celtics want to take the next step, they have to beat the Detroit Pistons and the Sacramento Kings of the world, especially when they are at TD Garden. They failed to take care of business Wednesday against the Pistons, but they did bounce back Friday at home with a 97-92 win over DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings. Al Horford led the way for the C’s with 26 points on 10 of 18 shooting (4 of 7 on 3-pointers), eight rebounds and six blocks. Isaiah Thomas (20 points, seven assists), Jae Crowder (16 points) and Avery Bradley (15 points, nine rebounds) also had big nights for the Celtics. Cousins led all players with 28 points, while teammate Matt Barnes recorded a double-double with 12
Pat McAfee Channels Conor McGregor After Fake Punt Completion For Colts
Share this: Pat McAfee has one of the more colorful personalities in the NFL, and the Indianapolis Colts punter showed it off Thursday night during his team’s Thanksgiving game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McAfee picked up a big first down for Indy by completing the ol’ fake punt pass for a big gain. McAfee channeled Conor McGregor (and Vince McMahon) with that swagger walk after the play, too. Unfortunately, that was the only bright side for the Colts, who turned the ball over on downs inside the opposing 5 yard line twice and only could muster seven points in a 28-7 loss. Nick Young ‘Steals’ Pass From Teammate, Buries Game-Winning Shot
Share this: Nick Young isn’t afraid to take a big late-game shot, even if it means basically stealing the ball from his teammate. The Los Angeles Lakers guard made another big shot Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but it’s how he got the ball in his hands in the first place that’s actually pretty comical. The Lakers, trailing by a point with just seconds to play in the fourth quarter, ran a play that looked designed to get an open look at the top of the key. The Lakers ran the play to perfection with Brandon Ingram finding an open Louis Williams outside the 3-point arc. That’s when Young stepped in — literally. He ran right in front of Williams, intercepting the
