MLB Rumors: Yankees Still Eyeing Manny Machado, Recently Contacted Orioles
The New York Yankees already made the offseason’s biggest splash, and they’re reportedly considering another move that might blow the competition out of the water. Fanrag Sports’ Jon Heyman reported Friday, citing sources, that the Yankees again contacted the Baltimore Orioles about third baseman Manny Machado. Heyman did indicate a deal — at least at this time — “seems less than great,” but he also pointed out the Yankees might have the best chance to land the superstar third baseman from the O’s. As Heyman points out, the Yankees have been able to shed some burdensome payroll in the last year or so — despite acquiring Gianca... NESN.com

Eric Decker Injury: Fantasy Football Impact Of Jets Star Going To Injured Reserve
New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker has been placed on injured reserve because of a torn rotator cuff, the team announced Wednesday. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport painted an even worse picture for Decker’s future in 2016. This is a blow to fantasy football owners because Decker has been a productive wideout for the Jets after joining them in 2014. He missed the last two games, but the veteran receiver hauled in nine passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns during the first three games of the campaign. Decker’s absence means the Jets’ top receiver, Brandon Marshall, should have an even larger role in the offense. He had 12 receptions for 2... NESN.com
Liverpool Overruns Hull City 5-1 In Five-Star Premier League Win
Share this: Liverpool produced a stunning attacking display to thrash Hull City 5-1 on Saturday at Anfield and make it four wins on the spin in all competitions. Adam Lallana opened the scoring early in the first half before James Milner netted from the spot after Ahmed Elmohamady received a red card for stopping Philippe Coutinho’s shot on the line with his arm. Sadio Mane extended his incredible start to the season with another goal before the break, though the visitors pulled one back in the second period through David Meyler’s close-range finish. That blow mattered little in the end, though, as Coutinho’s fine curler quickly restored the Reds’ advantage and Milner bagged another penalty to add gloss to the scoreline.
