They say basketball is a game of runs. But a 19-0 run? Now that’s something you don’t see everyday in the NBA. But that one stretch proved to be the difference Monday night between the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves. After falling behind by double digits, the C’s mounted a furious 19-0 comeback, starting with Al Horford’s jumper at the end of the third quarter. Boston then scored the first 17 points of the fourth to take back the lead and eventually win 99-93. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 29 points. Well that was one heck of a start to the 2016-17 Boston Bruins season. The B’s hit the road for their season opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night and left Nationwide Arena happy as clams following an exciting, come-from-behind 6-3 win to kick things off. Boston trailed 2-0 after one period and 3-1 early in the second, but Boston’s defense and first line took over from there. Each of Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak and David Backes scored two goals, while Marchand had an incredible five-point performance in the comeback. NORTON, Mass. — It wasn’t exactly hurricane-like conditions at TPC Boston, but it certainly wasn’t ideal weather for golf.
