AFC Title Game Was Patriots’ Second-Highest Rated Non-Super Bowl Game

The New England Patriots dismantled the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, and a lot of New Englanders tuned in to watch Tom Brady and Co. clinch their NFL-record ninth Super Bowl appearance. The local TV ratings for Sunday’s tilt against the Steelers were released on Monday, and the 2017 AFC title game was one of the most viewed non-Super Bowl games in team history. The Patriots’ 41-27 victory over the Steelers in the 2005 AFC Championship Game is the only non-Super Bowl game to receive a higher rating. The other three games in the top five were also AFC playoff games. The Patriots will face the

Cowboys Fan With Bold ‘Super Bowl LI Champs’ Tattoo Gets Even Bolder Update

The term “fan” is short for “fanatic,” which means we shouldn’t be surprised when fans do dumb things to show their fandom. Near the top of that “dumb things” list is getting a championship tattoo before your team actually wins a championship. That’s what Dallas Cowboys fan Jordan Garnett decided to do way back in December, predicting a Super Bowl LI Cowboys victory in permanent ink. Dallas, of course, won’t be winning Super Bowl LI, as Dak Prescott and Co. lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round. That left poor Garnett with a tattoo that didn’t make any sense, but that didn’t stop this ... NESN.com

Duke Vs. Pittsburgh Highlights NESN, NESNplus Saturday College Football Schedules

Duke Vs. Pittsburgh Highlights NESN, NESNplus Saturday College Football Schedules

The Pittsburgh Panthers pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the college football season in their last game, but that doesn’t mean facing 4-6 Duke on Saturday will be a walk in the park. The Panthers stunned Clemson last week and shook up the College Football Playoff race. They already are bowl eligible, so they mostly have pride and bowl positioning left to play for this season. The Blue Devils, meanwhile, are coming off a win over then-No. 17 North Carolina but still are two wins away from becoming bowl eligible. So there will be plenty on the line when these two Atlantic Coast Conference teams face off on NESN at 3 p.m.

One of their best chances for win No. 6 comes Saturday, when they host 2-6 Virginia at 3 p.m. ET in an Atlantic Coast Conference clash on NESN. NESNplus also will televise three college football contests Saturday, starting with a Football Championship Subdivision matchup between Ivy League rivals Penn and Princeton at noon. Coldplay also hung out with some members of the Patriots backstage Saturday night. Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola were spotted catching up with the music icons. Panthers Fan Destroys TV During Epic Rampage Following Super Bowl 50 (Video)

Losing never is easy, and freakouts are bound to happen as a result. But one Carolina Panthers fan took things to a whole new level after his team fell to the Denver Broncos 24-10 in Super Bowl 50. Charles Green, aka “The Angry Grandpa,” apparently had some pent-up aggression, and he let it all out following Sunday’s game. He started his epic meltdown by ripping the TV off its stand and throwing it against a table. He then proceeded to hit it repeatedly with just about any object he could find. You can check it all out in the video below, but it comes with a NSFW warning due to explicit language. That poor TV. Thumbnail p...
