Smith: “Some races are more like testing”

Bradley Smith: “I think that all the whole paddock is really impressed. Me, I’m blown away by what has been achieved. Honestly, coming into the season I expected to be last. Of course, I didn’t want to be last but I expected to be last. We have no experience. The other manufacturers have about fifteen years of experience, we haven’t even had fifteen races. So, to see what this amazing group of individuals have done in such a short, small amount of time is great to see.” Source link

Bradley Smith's blog: Making progress

Putting those two dodgy weekends behind me, I think they are the only negative parts of what has been a good first half of the season for me and the new KTM team. We have continued to make steady progress moving in the right direction with the bike getting better and better. We beat some very good riders on competitive machinery in Germany and we really raced into the points. We raced the KTM into the points rather than just picking up points. It was great for the morale

Smith injured in Oschersleben crash

Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith was set to take part in the Oschersleben 8 Hours endurance race following the Czech GP, with the Brit joining the YART Yamaha Official EWC Team on track to work towards the FIM EWC title in 2016. The MotoGP™ podium finisher crashed in Free Practice however, injuring his left leg in an incident with another rider. Although initial reports claimed a broken femur for Smith, further examination has seen the injury assessed as a deep cut in the Yamaha rider's thigh, rather than a fracture. Source link
