The New England Patriots are pretty thin at wide receiver, so the bar already was set low entering Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. But New England’s wideouts still fell short of that bar at TIAA Bank Field. Only three Patriots receivers caught a pass from Tom Brady in the team’s 31-20 loss: Phillip Dorsett (5 catches for 44 yards), Chris Hogan (3 catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns) and Cordarrelle Patterson (3 catches for 18 yards). Almost all of those receptions were short catch-and-runs; Brady didn’t connect on a pass over 30 yards and threw a team-high seven completions to running back James White out of the backfield. Tom Brady, Josh McDaniels Go Berserk After Patriots’ Ugly First Quarter Vs. Jaguars
The weather in Jacksonville is blazing hot Sunday, but the New England Patriots were ice cold to start their Week 2 clash with the Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field. New England’s offense simply couldn’t get anything going against Jacksonville, collecting only two first downs in the first quarter. The defense wasn’t much better, as Blake Bortles and Co. torched the visitors to help the Jags hold a 14-0 lead after the opening 15 minutes of play. Both quarterback Tom Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels understandably weren’t pleased with the Patriots’ first-quarter effort, and they each let their frustration boil over on the sideline ahead o... Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski Touchdown Connection Number Climbing Up All-Time Ranks
Stating that Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski connected on a touchdown pass hardly is a rare occurrence during the fall. That remained the case Sunday afternoon, as the quarterback and tight end hooked up for a first-quarter score in the New England Patriots’ 27-20 Week 1 win over the Houston Texans. Brady and Gronk now have the sixth most touchdown combinations in NFL history, and second most for a quarterback-tight end duo. Tom Brady Skillfully Evades Questions About Colin Kaepernick Nike Ad
Tom Brady isn’t the most evasive quarterback in the pocket, but the New England Patriots star did a little bobbing and weaving Friday afternoon. The 41-year-old quarterback, who is about to start his 19th NFL season with the Patriots, was asked for his opinion on Nike’s new ad starring former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The ad, which aired Thursday during the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Atlanta Falcons, focuses on the idea that anyone can achieve anything they set their mind to and that you should always dream big no matter your circumstance. Kaepernick, of course, was the first player to take a knee during the national anthem to ... NESN.com
Tom Brady Leaves Awkward Comment On Randy Moss’ Instagram Tribute To Late Trainer
Awareness is one of Tom Brady’s strengths on the football field, but it appears that might not extend to the digital realm. Take Monday for example. Randy Moss, a former record-setting teammate of Brady, posted an Instagram tribute to Fred Zamberletti, the longtime Minnesota Vikings trainer who passed away Sunday, and the New England Patriots quarterback posted a comment that didn’t go over great with the public at large. “On behalf of all the Purple People Eaters & true Viking fans worldwide……..”thank u mr.fred zamberletti!”#skol#rip#oltimer,” Moss wrote in his post, which you can see here. And here’s Brady’s comme... NESN.com
Dez Bryant Says Tom Brady ‘Always Been My Favorite Player’ In Instagram Comment
Dez Bryant, despite recently meeting with the Cleveland Browns, still is without a team as Week 3 of the NFL preseason nears. Could the New England Patriots be an option for the free-agent wide receiver? Well, thanks to an Instagram comment, we know the former Dallas Cowboys star is a fan of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Here’s the exchange: Is it possible Bryant is just saying this to help his chances of possibly coming to New England. Sure, but it’s certainly understandable for a top receiver to admire Brady’s career. The Patriots sure could use some depth at wide receiver. Julian Edelman is suspended for the first f... NESN.com

by Zack Cox on Fri, Aug 3, 2018 at 11:10AM 1,033 FOXBORO, Mass. — Eric Decker has yet to make his arrival at Patriots training camp, but New England did have another big-bodied wide receiver back on the field Friday morning. Britt, who entered the day on the physically unable to perform list, had s... NESN.com
