A person was rescued Sunday after he fell into the South Branch of the Chicago River. The 39-year-old was jogging about 4:15 a.m. within the 2900 block of South Ashland Avenue when he by chance slipped and fell into the river, Chicago police stated. A crew member engaged on a barge noticed him and introduced him onto their boat, police stated.
