Jeremy Lauzon scored his first NHL goal thanks in part to a friendly bounce, but it all looks the same on the box score. In the closing minutes of the first period in the Boston Bruins’ 4-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday, Sean Kuraly dumped a puck into the corner as he crossed center ice. The puck took an unusual bounce, hitting the boards just right so that it slid right back toward the center of the attacking zone. Vegas goalie Malcolm Subban lunged at the puck to try and knock it away to safety, but he was unable to connect, leaving Lauzon with an empty net as he slapped

Bruce Cassidy Not Pleased With Bruins’ Penalty Kill In Loss To Canucks
The Boston Bruins struggled on the defensive end Thursday night, to say the least. Bruce Cassidy wasn’t happy with his team’s all-around play against the Canucks, but the head coach made note of the penalty kill, which struggled to block shots throughout the contest. Bruins Notes: Boston ‘Had The Faith’ Before Overtime Victory Vs. Stars
The first line continues to make an impact for the Boston Bruins game in and game out. Such was the case Monday night when the deadly trio of Brad Marchand (1 goal), David Pastrnak (1 goal) and Patrice Bergeron (1 assist) all played key roles in Boston’s 2-1 overtime win over the Dallas Stars at TD Garden. The team certainly needed a win after a frustrating 1-0 loss against the Nashville Predators on Saturday, and Marchand said the B’s knew this game was theirs before the puck dropped. “Even before the game, it just felt like we had the faith tonight,” he said, as seen on “Bruins Overtime Live. “We were determined to

Bruins Notes: Tuukka Rask’s Struggles Prompt Praise For Jaroslov Halak
Not much went right for the Bruins on Wednesday night. The Capitals hoisted their Stanley Cup championship banner and went on to beat Boston 7-0 in the season opener for both teams. The beatdown began just 24 seconds after the puck dropped as Washington had complete control of the game from start to finish. B’s goalie Tuukka Rask was pulled midway through the second period after he allowed five goals on 19 shots, including three goals on three shots in 3:11. Head coach Bruce Cassidy mentioned he thought about pulling the goalie when the team went down 4-0, but wanted to give a chance to bounce back. “Yeah, I thought we’d respond at
Important Questions Remain For Bruins With New Season About To Begin
In less than a week, the puck will drop on the Boston Bruins’ 2018-19 campaign. And like the other 30 teams in the NHL, plenty of questions remain for the B’s heading into the regular season. On top of the Bruins having some compelling roster battles ongoing in their forward group, there’s also some intrigue surrounding the readiness of defensemen Torey Krug and Brandon Carlo, both of whom had last season cut short due to injuries. After the B’s 3-2 overtime loss in their preseason contest against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley tried tackling some of the questions surrounding the Black an...
