Share this: J.R. Smith apparently has a little too much pent-up energy. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard is nearing a return from right thumb surgery but did not suit up for Saturday’s game against the Miami Heat. That didn’t stop him from being the center of attention, though. As time wound down in Miami’s blowout win, television cameras caught Smith barking at Heat guard Dion Waiters from his own bench. When the buzzer sounded, Smith only became more agitated, yelling at several Heat players. He had to be held back by the Cavs’ security team and forcibly escorted from the court. NBA Rumors: Cavs Were Nervous About Possible Celtics’ Blockbuster Trade
Despite being tied to a number of blockbuster trade rumors, the Boston Celtics made no moves at the NBA trade deadline. While this might have come as a disappointment to Celtics fans, it came as a sigh of relief to one of Boston’s Eastern Conference rivals: The Cleveland Cavaliers. Appearing on “The Lowe Post” podcast on Friday, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst explained that the Cavaliers were pretty nervous over the thought of the Celtics possibly acquiring Jimmy Butler or Paul George. “The Cavs were on pins and needles about the Celtics (possibly) getting Paul George or Jimmy Butler,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on The Lowe Post podcast Fr... Barack Obama Shouts Out J.R. Smith For Wearing Shirt During Cavs’ White House Vi…
Share this: The Cleveland Cavaliers were honored at the White House on Thursday, and they all showed up in their best formal attire. Even J.R. Smith. The Cavs shooting guard went on quite a few shirtless escapades after Cleveland won its first NBA Championship in June, including partying in Las Vegas after Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors, riding through the Cavs’ victory parade and even playing a round of golf. But Smith kept his shirt on for his trip to Washington, D.C., and President Barack Obama was thankful for the gesture. You can’t really come back from getting roasted by the leader of the free world, but, hey, at least Smith’s an NBA champ. Thumbnail photo via Geoff Burke/USA TODAY Network More Stories Source link

Kevin Love Pulls A Stone Cold Steve Austin After Cavs’ NBA Finals Win
The Cleveland Cavaliers hit the Golden State Warriors with a Stone Cold Stunner on Sunday night in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and Kevin Love celebrated rather appropriately. The Cavaliers defeated the Warriors 93-89 to give the city of Cleveland its first major sports championship since 1964. Love, who scored nine points and added 14 rebounds while also making a huge defensive stop on Stephen Curry late in the fourth quarter, marked the occasion by tossing on an “Austin 3:16” shirt and channeling his inner Stone Cold Steve Austin. Love pounded a couple of beers amid the Cavs’ locker room celebration. He ended up getting more beer on his shirt and
LeBron James, Craig Sager Share Heartwarming Moment After Cavs’ Game 6 Win
Craig Sager was in the house Thursday night in Cleveland, calling the first NBA Finals game of his illustrious broadcasting career thanks to an agreement between TNT and ESPN. Sager is battling leukemia, and after the Cavaliers took down the Golden State Warriors 115-101 to force a Game 7, Cavs star LeBron James let the longtime sideline reporter know he’s pulling for him. “First of all, let me ask you a question: How in the hell did you go 30-plus years without getting a Finals game?” James told Sager in a postgame interview. “That don’t make no sense. But I’m happy to see you, man. Much love and respect, and I’m happy we
