Dorna and ADAC agree on joint promotion of juniors

During the MotoGP™ event at the Red Bull Ring, ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta agreed on even closer joint promotion of juniors. The European Talent Cup, organised by Dorna, and the Standard class of the ADAC Northern Europe Cup, will be staged according to the same regulations by 2019 at the latest. A promotion to higher classes will also become standard across the series, meaning that it will not matter to junior riders whether they line up in the ADAC Northern Europe Cup or in one of the Dorna Talent Cups - the same conditions will apply in both series. MLB Rumors: Yankees Interested In Aroldis Chapman, But Price Very High

Watch Edwin Encarnacion Crush Game-Winning Home Run, Send Blue Jays To ALDS

Share this: Who’s ready for another Toronto Blue Jays-Texas Rangers playoff series? Designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion blasted a three-run, walk-off home run in the 11th inning Tuesday night to give the Blue Jays a 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Wild Card Game. And blasted might be an understatement. The ending was controversial, as the Orioles never turned to closer and Cy Young candidate Zach Britton. Instead, manager Buck Showalter, who said after the game that Britton was available, put in Ubaldo Jimenez with one out in the 11th, and he proceeded to allow two straight singles before Encarnacion’s homer. The Blue Jays-Rangers AL Division Series will begin Thursday with Game 1 at 4:38 p.m. ET. Click to see fan throw beer can at Orioles

Carter Mock Gets To Just Be A Kid Thanks To Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Doctors

Share this: Carter Mock is your typical 8-year-old boy: active, energetic, and in love with exploring the world around him. But when he developed a limp, doctors took a closer look and discovered a tumor in his leg. After almost a year of battling osteosarcoma and fibroblastic sarcoma that included surgery on his leg, Carter is back to being that adventurous boy full time, and he’s got a new mentor to help him explore. None of it would have been possible without The Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, though. The 2016 WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon will take place Aug. 29 through 30. You can donate and learn more here. Hear Carter’s story, as seen on NESN’s “Red Sox First Pitch,” in the video

Nationals Reportedly Land Closer Mark Melancon In Trade With Pirates

Share this: The Washington Nationals reportedly have made a significant move to upgrade their bullpen. The Nationals have acquired closer Mark Melancon from the Pittsburgh Pirates in a multi-player trade, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reported Saturday, citing sources. Washington will send relief pitcher Felipe Rivero and left-handed pitching prospect Taylor Hearn to Pittsburgh in return, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. Melancon has developed into one of Major League Baseball’s top closers over the past few seasons. He saved an MLB-best 51 games in 53 opportunities for the Pirates last season and entered Saturday with 30 saves in 2016 to go along with a 1.51 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP. That’s good news for the Nationals, who have gotten inconsistent results from current
