UCF Relentlessly Trolls College Football Playoff Committee After Peach Bowl Win
The University of Central Florida Knights finished off a perfect season Monday when they defeated the No. 9 Auburn Tigers in the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl 34-27. UCF, who went 0-12 two seasons ago, finished the year as the only undefeated team in college football after beating an Auburn team that was the only program to beat both No. 4 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia, the two team’s that will play in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Jan. 8. College football is the only sport in which an undefeated team like UCF doesn’t get the chance to play for all the marbles, so the Knights elected to troll the College Football Playoff Committee who ranked UCF 12th ent... NFL Draft 2017: Predicting Biggest Busts At Every Position
Share this: Despite weeks and months of NFL draft preparation, there will be players selected this weekend who turn out to be busts. That’s life in the football world. The draft is an inexact science, and the bust whammy does not favor any particular position. Teams can do as much homework as they’d like, but the NFL is a whole different beast, and players who thrive in college aren’t necessarily going to succeed at the next level. The Sports Daily identified players at each position from the 2017 NFL Draft class who are most likely to be considered busts in the next five years or so. Check them out at the link below. NFL Prospect DeShone Kizer Believes He Is Mix Between Tom Brady, Cam Newton
Share this: DeShone Kizer is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft. And the ex-Notre Dame star has high expectations for himself — sky high. In an interview with USA TODAY’s Tom Pelissero, Kizer said he believes he’s a mix between New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Carolina Panthers star Cam Newton. “No one else can do what I can do,” Kizer said, per Pelissero. “And I’ve truly figured out in this (draft) process if I can maximize all my potential in every aspect of the game — this is bold — I do have the ability to be the greatest quarterback to ever play. “Imagine taking (Tom) Brady’s intellect and Brady’s preparation and putting it on a guy with Cam Newton’s

The Crimson Tide announced the hiring Monday afternoon. Daboll also will serve as Alabama’s quarterbacks coach. Daboll spent 10 of the last 16 seasons with the Patriots, most recently coaching the team’s tight ends from 2014 through 2016. He was a part of all five of New England’s Super Bowl title-winning teams and was viewed as the likely successor to Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. The 41-year-old has not coached at the college level since 1999, when he finished up a two-year stint as a Michigan State graduate assistant
Mohamed Sanu, Logan Ryan Texted Eyes Emojis After AFC Championship Game
Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — Mohamed Sanu and Logan Ryan haven’t exchanged words since the Super Bowl LI matchup was decided, but they did swap emojis. Sanu and Ryan might feel like they’re back in Piscataway, N.J. next Sunday in the Super Bowl when they line up across from each other at NRG Stadium in Houston. Sanu, an Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, and Ryan, a New England Patriots cornerback, were teammates at Rutgers for three seasons and suitemates for two of those. They were recruited in the same college class as defensive backs until Sanu was forced to move from safety to receiver before his freshman season. The two practiced against each other frequently. “He won his, I won mine,” Ryan said. “I think we’ll see
Western Kentucky Gets Tricky, Runs Fake Kneel Down In Boca Raton Bowl
Share this: College football bowl season always is filled with trick plays and wild endings. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers delivered an innovative play call Tuesday in the Boca Raton Bowl against Memphis. The Hilltoppers were up by 11 with under a minute to play in the first half, so they lined up to take a knee and head to the locker room. At least that’s what Memphis thought. Western Kentucky snapped the ball to quarterback Mike White, who handed it off running back Anthony Wales. Wales waited for a second, playing out the fake before taking off over the left side for a 53-yard gain. Pretty nifty play call by coordinator Bryan Ellis. The ‘Toppers won 51-31.
