From NFL.com: (NFL Media’s Mike) Garafolo reported on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” that even McDaniels’ agent, Bob Lamonte, told the OC that he’s making perhaps the biggest professional mistake of his caree... NFL Rumors: Patriots’ Josh McDaniels Set For Second Interview With Colts
All signs continue to point toward Josh McDaniels becoming the next head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. McDaniels, who’s still serving as the New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator as they prepare for their Super Bowl LII showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday, will meet with Colts owner Jim Irsay and general manager Chris Ballard on Friday, NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported Thursday, citing sources. As Pelissero notes, a deal can’t be finalized until after the Super Bowl, but the second interview should offer the organization an opportunity to get a head-start on its offseason planning. The Colts reportedly aren’t t... NESN.com
IndyCar’s Simon Pagenaud Parties With Julian Edelman, Apologizes To Colts
When he’s not running in-cuts for the New England Patriots, Julian Edelman is busy being the NFL’s preeminent social butterfly. The star wide receiver’s newest buddy? None other than defending Verizon IndyCar Series champion Simon Pagenaud. The French driver, who’s great behind the wheel but damn near mentally scarring with a hula-hoop, is in Los Angeles for Wednesday’s ESPY awards. On Tuesday, though, he stopped the ESPN Body Issue party, where he caught up with a chest hair-baring Edelman. We’re sure Pagenaud’s apologies were accepted without protest by the Indianapolis Colts, who now understand what it’s like to be at the cent... NESN.com
Colts To Retire Peyton Manning’s No. 18, Build Statue Of Quarterback
It didn’t take long for the Indianapolis Colts to celebrate Peyton Manning’s career. Colts owner Jim Irsay announced Friday the team will retire Manning’s No. 18 and build a statue of the quarterback outside Lucas Oil Stadium. Manning, who announced his retirement earlier this month, spent 14 years with the Colts before finishing his career with the Denver Broncos. “It was my honor and privilege to play for this organization for 14 years,” Manning told reporters Friday. “I’ll always be a Colt.” Manning is coming off a Super Bowl win with the Broncos. He had an impressive four-year run with Denver to c...
Colts Fans Plan To Taunt Tom Brady, Patriots In Dumbest Way Imaginable
A group of Indianapolis Colts fans are about to do something really dumb — perhaps wasting a lot of money in the process — in the hopes of rattling quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Good luck with that. A reader recently sent Barstool Sports an email relaying a separate email stating that Colts fans plan to fly a blimp over Lucas Oil Stadium next Sunday when New England and Indianapolis square off in a Week 6 rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game. The blimp apparently will display the message, #DeflateThisBrady, a clear play on the Patriots’ Deflategate scandal. There’s even a video to accompany the sa...
Patriots Will Look to Slow Surging Colts During Divisional Round of Playoffs at Gillette (Video)
The New England Patriots will host the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday night. The Colts, who were able to overcome a 28-point deficit to pull off the unbelievable 45-44 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round, will look to build off that momentum when they come into Gillette this weekend. With Andrew Luck at the helm, the Pats will be tasked with slowing down the Indy offense and making sure they find a way to contain T.Y. Hilton. Offensively, New England will look to take advantage of the Colts defense that ranks 26th in rushing yards allowed. The tandem of LeGarrette Blount and Stevan Ridley will be key for the Patriots success. Check out the above
