A former Boston Celtic could have a new home before the end of the season. The Detroit Pistons have made guard Avery Bradley available in trade talks ahead of the NBA’s Feb. 8 trade deadline, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday, citing sources. Detroit’s asking price for Bradley is “significant,” per Wojnarowski, who added the Pistons have been one of the league’s most “aggressive” teams leading up to the deadline. Bradley played a key role in the Pistons’ early-season success, averaging 18.3 points per game over the month of November. Detroit has struggled mightily of late, though, losing 11 of its last 13 games to dr... NESN.com

WINNERSJarome IginlaIginla waived his no-movement clause to go from the last-place Colorado Avalanche to the Los Angeles Kings. NHL Trade Deadline: Leafs Should Make Minor Move Only, Protect Future
Share this: The Toronto Maple Leafs’ path toward the Stanley Cup might be a little ahead of schedule, but that doesn’t mean Brendan Shanahan and Co. should mortgage any part of the team’s future to win right now. Sure, making the playoffs and earning that experience would be nice, but the Leafs must stay the course in what has been a successful rebuild thus far. Auston Matthews, the 2016 No. 1 overall draft pick, is on his way to the Calder Trophy with a rookie-leading 30 goals. Mitch Marner, the fourth overall pick in 2015, is having a fantastic rookie campaign, too. Former first-round picks Morgan Rielly and Jake Gardiner also are blossoming nicely on the blue line. The Leafs have built a talented foundation

NBA Power Rankings: Lackluster Trade Deadline Still Creates Surprising Movement
Share this: The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and the fireworks never really went off. Sure, there was the blockbuster DeMarcus Cousins trade, but that was days ago. Those looking for some action Thursday likely left work disappointed, especially considering the Boston Celtics decided not to make a deal and kept their assets. So how does the NBA landscape look now after the deadline? Let’s take a look at our power rankings. 1. Golden State Warriors (47-9) — The Warriors didn’t make any moves, which is understandable considering they already have the best roster and record in the NBA. 2. San Antonio Spurs (43-13) — San Antonio still is the second best team, but it has a lot of competition, some of which made moves at
NBA Rumors: 76ers’ Jahlil Okafor ‘Will Be Moved’ Before Trade Deadline
The likelihood of Jahlil Okafor remaining with the Philadelphia 76ers beyond Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline appears slim. “He will get moved, I can tell you that,” NBA.com reporter David Aldridge said Tuesday on NBATV. “They’re not going to go into next season with him on the roster and they’re not going to finish out this season with him on the roster.” Okafor, a solid offensive center, is averaging 11.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game this season. He’s not an above average rim protector, but the former third overall draft pick has made strides defensively since his rookie season. The 76ers have dra... NESN.com

Share this: The NBA trade deadline represents the last chance for contending teams to make significant moves that will help them get to the playoffs and perhaps take the next step. We’ve already seen a few deals made the last few weeks, but the majority of trades happen in the week of the actual trade deadline. So, The Sports Daily looked at five last-minute moves that should be made before Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. Click for five last-minute NBA trade deadline moves
