Bruins Focusing On ‘Tightening Up Some Areas’ Before Game 1 Vs. Leafs

The Boston Bruins are gearing up for the second season, as the B’s will battle the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Bruins head into the playoffs in a bit of a slump, posting just one win over their last five games to close out the regular season. But general manager Don Sweeney isn’t concerned about the B’s April swoon, noting the team will focus on “tightening up” before the quest for the Cup begins at TD Garden on Thursday against the Leafs. Chara has been in the NHL for 20 years and with the Bruins since the 2006-07 season. The 41-year-old defenseman has had a brilliant season with the B’s. He’s proved he’s still a top-tier defenseman while helping bring along the team’s young defensemen.
