It was the transaction that sparked countless others, officially setting off the Patriots’ offseason, and it kind of got buried. The Patriots also received a sixth-round pick in the deal. Allen has spent the first five years of his career with the Colts, and he had 406 yards on 35 catches with six touchdowns last season. With this trade, it appears Martellus Bennett’s time in New England has come to an end after spending one year with the team.
