Share this: Love ’em or hate ’em, ESPN really knows how to get the most out of a story. New England Patriots fans have spent the last two years lambasting the Worldwide Leader in Sports for its coverage of the “Deflategate” saga. Patriots fans not only blame ESPN for (incorrectly) giving the story legs but also for prolonging the story with either sketchy reporting (alternative facts, at best?) or loud opinions. So Patriots fans likely will get a kick out of the upcoming cover of ESPN the Magazine’s Super Bowl LI preview which features Brady with the headline “Brady’s Revenge.” One would assume the “revenge” is in reference to Brady and the Patriots looking for retribution on the NFL and especially Roger Goodell for

Brandon Marshall Reportedly Ticked Off Jets Teammates With Halftime Rant
The New York Jets weren’t really in the holiday spirit Saturday. Not only did the team get blown out by the New England Patriots 41-3 on Christmas Eve at Gillette Stadium. But some Jets players were irked by a fiery speech given by wide receiver Brandon Marshall at halftime with New York trailing 27-0, team sources told ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini. Marshall told ESPN.com on Wednesday that his objective was to fire up his Jets teammates. The outburst seemingly had the opposite effect, though, as the speech reportedly might have raised tensions in the Jets’ locker room. “We were getting our butts kicked, and I was trying to get guys to respond, ... Carmelo Anthony Responds To George Karl’s Personal Attacks With Grace, Class
George Karl hasn’t dragged Carmelo Anthony into the verbal mud, at least not yet. The New York Knicks star responded Thursday to criticisms Karl makes against him in his upcoming book, “Furious George: My Forty Years Surviving NBA Divas, Clueless GMs, and Poor Shot Selection,” sending his former coach his best wishes via ESPN’s Ian Begley. Many expected to Anthony to fire back at Karl, who questioned the nine-time NBA All-Star’s commitment, sense of teamwork and upbringing. Anthony’s reaction contrasts with those of three other former Denver Nuggets players, whom Karl coached. J.R. Smith and Reggie Evans described Karl as “sad... NESN.com
Stephen A. Smith Destroys ‘Flaming Hypocrite’ Colin Kaepernick For Not Voting
Share this: Colin Kaepernick has been at the forefront of a prominent social justice movement since August. He’s been very outspoken about injustices toward minorities in America and started a protest to demonstrate it. But when it came to make his voice heard at the polls, Kaepernick fell silent. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback has taken serious heat for declining to vote in the 2016 presidential election. On Wednesday, after Republican nominee Donald Trump secured the presidency, Kaepernick received what might be his harshest rebuke yet from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. “He comes across as a flaming hypocrite,” an incensed Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take.” “After all this noise that you made, even though you didn’t intended to do so, by offending our military
Jamaal Charles Reportedly Placed On Injured Reserve By Chiefs After Setback
Share this: Jamaal Charles’ injury setbacks reportedly just got even worse. The Kansas City Chiefs placed the running back on injured reserve Tuesday, a league source told ESPN’s Field Yates. Charles suffered a torn ACL last season, and the move Tuesday came after he felt soreness in his right knee, according to ESPN. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also said Charles saw surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday after missing Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Charles will have to remain on injured reserve for eight weeks, which means he still could play again this regular season and in the playoffs, if the Chiefs make it. It’s still unclear whether that would happen, though. Charles only has played in parts of three games this season. He’s rushed for 40
Randy Moss Gave Trent Dilfer The Dirtiest Look You’ll Ever See On ESPN
Share this: If Randy Moss’ looks could kill, Trent Dilfer definitely would be dead. Dilfer gave his take on Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest Sunday on ESPN and Moss didn’t seem too enthusiastic about it. The former NFL wide receiver gave his TV colleague one of the dirtiest faces imaginable, which understandably created a ton of buzz on social media. Was Moss really that ticked off at Dilfer? Who knows? But either way, the face he made was absolutely priceless. Thumbnail photo via Chuck Cook/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
Bryan Stork Reportedly Fails Redskins Physical; Rights Revert To Patriots
by Zack Cox on Mon, Aug 29, 2016 at 9:32AM 1,755 Share this: The most bizarre story of the New England Patriots preseason took another unexpected turn Tuesday morning. Center Bryan Stork, whom the Patriots on Wednesday traded to the Washington Redskins, on Monday failed his Redskins physical, according to a report from Chris Cooley of ESPN 980. ESPN’s John Keim later confirmed Cooley’s report. As a result, the trade was nullified. The Redskins reacquired the conditional seventh-round pick they sent to New England in the deal, and Stork again became property of the Patriots. It appears likely the Patriots will release the 25-year-old offensive lineman, as they reportedly intended to in the first place before the Redskins pulled the trigger on a last-second trade. Multiple reports indicated Stork
