BOSTON — Well, it looks like the Boston Celtics won’t be taking it too slow with Al Horford. After missing seven games with a lingering knee injury, Horford returned to action Sunday and logged 19 minutes in the Celtics’ win over the Charlotte Hornets. While the veteran big man was said to be on a minutes restriction upon his return, an exception needed to be made Christmas Day. Horford, who only was supposed to see about 25 minutes on Tuesday, played 30 minutes in Boston’s thrilling 121-114 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden. Horford had a modest day with four points and nine rebounds, but as Kyrie Irving noted afte... NESN.com

Adrian Peterson Already Arguing With Saints Coach Sean Payton On Sideline
The Adrian Peterson era in New Orleans already is off to a lovely start. The former Vikings running back was back in Minnesota with his new squad on “Monday Night Football,” and we’re sure there was plenty of extra motivation as a result. However, the Saints only gave him four carries, which he turned into 14 yards during the first half. But that wasn’t the part that got all the attention. Instead, it was the argument he had with Saints head coach Sean Payton on the sideline. Yeah, that doesn’t seem like a good omen for Peterson in New Orleans. Red Sox Wrap: Andrew Benintendi’s Heroics Lift Boston To 12-Inning Win
Nine innings once again weren’t enough for the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies. The two squads went into extra innings for the second straight night at Fenway Park, and Boston took home the 4-3 win in 12 innings Tuesday night on an Andrew Benintendi walk-off single. Benintendi drove in Xander Bogaerts on the play. With the win, the Sox improved to 36-28, while the Phillies dropped to 21-42. Here’s how it all went down. GAME IN A WORDClose. The Red Sox and Phillies were locked in a tight contest throughout the night, and it all came down to extra innings. IT WAS OVER WHEN…NESN.com

Cubs Finally Raise World Series Banner After Weather Delays Celebration
Share this: The Chicago Cubs already had to wait 108 years to win another World Series, so what’s a few extra hours before lifting the 2016 championship banner high above Wrigley Field? The Cubs’ celebration of their historic championship run was delayed Monday night due to weather, but the fans and players eventually got to see the moment they all had been waiting for once the rain let up. And it certainly was an incredible scene prior to Chicago’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nice try, Mother Nature. Nothing could dampen the spirits of Cubs fans Monday night. Tom Brady Adds To List Of Accomplishments, Speaks Chinese In Instagram Video
Share this: As if winning four (and potentially five) Super Bowls wasn’t enough, Tom Brady had to go learn another language on us. The New England Patriots quarterback added another line to his lengthy résumé Saturday morning in the form of a social media post wishing fans a happy Chinese New Year. As usual, Brady went the extra mile, relaying his message in Chinese, which just happens to be one of the most complicated languages in the world. That’s pretty solid — and a great cameo from his daughter, Vivian, as well. Brady’s horoscope probably doesn’t include specific mentions to Super Bowl LI, but having a quarterback who can speak Chinese and dissect defenses as well as TB12 is a pretty good omen for the
Al Horford Puts Coal In Kristaps Porzingis’ Stocking With Monster Dunk
Share this: Everyone’s exchanging gifts this holiday season, and Al Horford had an extra special present for Kristaps Porzingis on Christmas Day. The Boston Celtics forward took center stage at Madison Square Garden in the third quarter of his team’s matchup with the New York Knicks. Horford took the ball at the top of the key and saw only Porzingis in his path. So, the All-Star big man drove the lane and proceeded to put the 7-foot-3 Latvian on a poster. We’d imagine this poster would look good in Horford’s living room. Horford turned 30 years old this summer, but this mammoth dunk proves he still has plenty of pep left in his step.
