Share this: Patriots’ Day 2017 is going to provide many hours of sports fun for the people of Boston. The Boston Marathon will begin early in the morning, followed by the Boston Red Sox’s 11 a.m. matinee against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park, and then finally the Boston Bruins will resume their first-round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators with Game 3 at TD Garden. It’s actually the first Bruins playoff game in Boston since the B’s were eliminated by the rival Montreal Canadiens in Game 7 of the 2014 Eastern Conference semifinals. Red Sox Getting Tremendous Offensive Production From Dynamic Catching Duo
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 8-1 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park in part due to a stellar performance by catcher Christian Vazquez. Vazquez got the start behind the plate over teammate Sandy Leon and provided a stellar performance calling the game behind the plate and at the plate, too. Vazquez went 4 for 4 with a two singles, a double, a triple and two RBIs in the win. The Red Sox are getting terrific offensive production from their defensive-minded catchers this season. Celebrities Butcher ‘Sweet Caroline’ In Sing-Along At 2017 Grammys
Share this: Singing “Sweet Caroline” during the middle of the eighth inning is a Fenway Park tradition, so it’s not surprising that Boston Red Sox fans would take offense when the words to one of their anthems are butchered. Enter comedian James Corden and the many celebrities who joined him in a karaoke version of the popular Neil Diamond song at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Corden brought a fake car into the award show and conducted an impromptu sing-along of “Sweet Caroline” with Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Diamond himself, among others. Pedro Martinez Drops Video Of Postseason Dominance That Will Fire Up Red Sox Fans
Have you given up on the Boston Red Sox? Pedro Martinez hasn’t. The Hall of Fame pitcher and former Red Sox starter was part of some pretty amazing postseason moments for the club that most fans probably will never forget. But with the Red Sox down 0-2 to the Cleveland Indians in their American League Division Series, Martinez made sure the Fenway Faithful had a reminder of what Boston can do.
