The Boston Red Sox third baseman recently opened up about his disappointing 2016 campaign, admitting he got “complacent” while training for a season that saw him play just three games before being shut down for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Yet Sandoval looks like a new man this offseason, and he offered another positive update Friday, posting a series of Instagram Live videos of him lifting weights and running on a treadmill at team facilities in Fort Myers. The videos aren’t embeddable, but here’s a sample, courtesy of Bleacher Report’s St... NESN.com

Marlins Beat Braves As MLB Honors Troops With Historic Game At Fort Bragg
Major League Baseball honored the troops with a special game in Fort Bragg, N.C., on Sunday. The Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves played in the first ever MLB game at a military base, and Miami came away with a 5-2 win. The Marlins broke open a scoreless game with two runs in the fifth, and they built a commanding five-run lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. The Braves managed a bit of a comeback, but their efforts fell short. Adam Conley got the win for Miami, and catcher J.T. Realmuto led the way offensively with three runs, a homer and two RBIs.
