Share this: The Dallas Cowboys just keep on winning, no matter how steep the challenge. It sure looked as though the Cowboys would drop their second game of the season Sunday after Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off a stunning fake-spike touchdown with only 43 seconds remaining. But the rookie duo of Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott got the last laugh thanks to Elliot’s 32-yard rushing touchdown with nine seconds left in the game. The Steelers couldn’t pull out one last miracle, and the Cowboys won the instant classic 35-30. What a game. Thumbnail photo via Charles LeClaire/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Celtics’ Marcus Smart Has Words For John Wall After Apparent Cheap Shot
Share this: The Boston Celtics didn’t put up much of a fight Wednesday night, but things still managed to get interesting in the fourth quarter. The Washington Wizards led Boston by 20 points with under six minutes remaining at Verizon Center when Celtics guard Marcus Smart dribbled into a double team in his own end. John Wall trapped Smart, but rather than go for the ball, the Wizards guard instead tossed Smart pretty forcefully to the ground. Never one to back down from a conflict, Smart immediately started jawing at Wall. The referees hit Smart with a technical foul, but Wall received the most severe punishment, getting ejected from the game after being assessed a flagrant two. It was a pretty strange show of
Travis Kelce Ejected From Chiefs-Jaguars For Throwing Towel At Referee
Share this: Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wasn’t able to finish Sunday afternoon’s home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a foolish decision. Kelce lost his cool after yelling at a referee and threw his towel in the official’s direction. He was ejected from the game immediately after. It looked like Kelce was unhappy with a previous call(s), but there’s still no excuse for his behavior. The Chiefs still won 19-14 to move into a first-place tie with the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos atop the AFC West. Coco Crisp Delivers Game 3 Win For Indians With Clutch Pinch-Hit Single
Remember Coco Crisp? Well, you certainly will after you see what happened in Game 3 of the World Series. The Major League Baseball veteran is no stranger to the postseason, and he’s already proven this October that he still can come up with a clutch hit. So, when the Cleveland Indians left fielder’s name was called to pinch hit for reliever Andrew Miller in the top of the seventh inning Friday night at Wrigley Field, we probably should have predicted he’d do something like this: That RBI pinch-hit single proved to be the difference, as the Indians took Game 3 1-0. It also gave Cleveland a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven-game series.NESN.com
Celtics Wrap: Bulls Out-Shoot, Out-Muscle Boston In 105-99 C’s Loss
There was bad news and good news Thursday night for the Boston Celtics. The bad news? Someone taught the Chicago Bulls how to shoot, nothing really went right for the Celtics and the C’s lost their first game of the season, 105-99, in Dwyane Wade’s Chicago homecoming, dropping their record to 1-1. The good news? Despite the game plan failing and nothing going right, Boston had a chance to win with seconds remaining and nearly pulled off an improbable victory on the road. Here’s a look at how it went down. YOU GOT SERVEDRemember when NBA people spent the summer talking about how the Bulls can’t play together be... NESN.com
Anthony Davis Just Had One Of The Best Games In NBA History
Share this: In every preseason poll, there’s been one constant layer of disrespect that nobody’s talking about: Anthony Davis has been completely forgotten. The New Orleans Pelicans’ superstar was left off every MVP prediction and overlooked for any possible award he could receive. Karl-Anthony Towns apparently is the new “it” star in the NBA, according to everyone, and the often-injured Davis is simply a thing of the past. Except he isn’t. The Pels’ 23-year-old star reminded us all of that Wednesday in his season debut, posting an incredible stat line of 50 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, seven steals and four blocks in 41 minutes in New Orleans’ 107-102 loss to the Denver Nuggets. A notable stat: He nearly posted a famous 5×5 line (five or more
Kyle Schwarber Records Hit During Return To Cubs In World Series Game 1
Talk about a comeback. Chicago Cubs young slugger Kyle Schwarber tore two ligaments in his knee on April 7, just three games into Chicago’s eventual 103-win season and march to the World Series. But after pushing through his rehab, Schwarber managed to get into some Arizona Fall League games over the weekend and was activated from the disabled list in time for Game 1 of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday. He made the Cubs looks smart, nearly blasting a home run out of the park with his team trailing 3-0. The ball landed just below the top of the fence, and he legged out a double for his first
