Andrew Luck In Concussion Protocol, Might Not Play In Colts-Steelers

Share this: Andrew Luck’s status for the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thanksgiving night is up in the air. The Colts quarterback is undergoing concussion tests, Indy head coach Chuck Pagano announced Monday. Scott Tolzien is the Colts’ backup quarterback. He has not thrown a pass in 2016. Report: Texas To Fire Charlie Strong As Football Coach Amid Dismal Season

Share this: Charlie Strong’s tenure as the head football coach at Texas is coming to a close. Multiple outlets reported Sunday that the Longhorns will fire Strong, adding another low point in what has been a horrendous 2016 season for the school’s football program. Texas is 5-6 after losing to lowly Kansas on Saturday. When exactly Strong will be fired is unknown at this time. It’s entirely possible Strong either is fired or steps down after next Saturday’s regular-season finale against TCU. Texas needs to win that game to become bowl eligible, but there are plenty of examples of programs firing their coaches after the regular season but before their bowl game. The university has not confirmed the rumors, but athletic director Mike Perrin did address

Tom Brady Notches 199th Career Win, Ties Brett Favre For Second All Time

by Zack Cox on Sun, Nov 20, 2016 at 8:08PM 2,540 Share this: Only one quarterback in the history of the NFL has won more games than Tom Brady. And Brady could pass him early next month. The New England Patriots’ 30-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday was the 199th of Brady’s career, moving him into a tie with Hall of Famer Brett Favre for second in NFL history. Only Peyton Manning (200) has more. Brady, whose first victory came Sept. 30, 2001, was at his very best in win No. 199, shredding his hometown 49ers for four interceptions without turning the ball over. It was the 21st four-plus-touchdown, zero-interception game of Brady’s career, extending his own NFL record. The Patriots led just

Watch Liverpool Vs. Southampton Premier League Game Online (Live Stream)

Share this: If Liverpool’s form isn’t reason enough to watch their games this season, its links with Southampton make Saturday’s matchup a can’t-miss contest. The Reds will host the Saints at Anfield in the Premier League as they look to keep hold of the top spot in the standings for another week. Southampton occupies 10th place, and a trip to Liverpool is unlikely to improve its current position in the division. In recent years, Liverpool has forked over £95 million ($117 million) to Southampton in transfer fees for some of their best players. Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Sadio Mane are expected to play against their former club, but Adam Lallana probably will miss the game due to injury. Here’s how to watch Liverpool vs.

Fantasy Football Week 11: Starts, Sits For Saints Vs. Panthers ‘Thursday Night F…

Share this: We were blessed with some pretty entertaining NFL games in Week 10, and this week’s slate of games should get off to a good start, too, with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers facing off on “Thursday Night Football.” Here’s who we recommend starting and sitting on both clubs in this NFC South matchup. New Orleans SaintsQuarterback: Drew Brees is a must start this week and every week. He’s thrown for at least three touchdowns in four of his last five games, and he’s second only to Matt Ryan with 2,992 passing yards this season. Even at 37 years old, Brees still is a top-tier fantasy (and real life) quarterback. Running Back: The Panthers are allowing the second-fewest rushing yards in the NFL, which

Dion Lewis Will Eventually Bring Unpredictability Back To Patriots’ Offense

Share this: It’s unclear why the New England Patriots activated Dion Lewis off the physically unable to perform list just to make him inactive in Week 10, but it was the right decision. Regular season loss or not, the New England Patriots need to keep Lewis healthy for the postseason. Lewis has played just 31 of a possible 89 games since being selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and his health probably is even more vulnerable as he’s months removed from multiple knee surgeries. Even when Lewis finally is active for a game, it seems unlikely he’ll receive a full workload. It’s much more likely that will come playoff time, despite head coach Bill Belichick implying Lewis might not pass James White
