The Los Angeles Lakers guard enjoyed an unforgettable NBA debut Tuesday night, scoring 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Ingram’s unusual rookie story — he played 10-plus seasons in the NBA G League (formerly known as the D League) before the Lakers called him up from the South Bay Lakers for their final two games of the season — made headlines prior to the game against the Rockets, and his performance inspired those who refuse to give up on their dreams. Celtics Notes: Boston-Houston Would Be Must-See NBA Finals Matchup
They say styles make fights, and the two games between the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets have been nothing short of box office material. And while an NBA Finals matchup might not be likely, with the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers lurking, it would be nothing short must-see TV. The Celtics took Round 1 after overcoming a 26-point deficit thanks to a couple late miscues from James Harden, but the Rockets delivered some payback Saturday night at Toyota Center. The game was a seesaw affair, with neither team leading by more than eight at any point in the contest. Boston held the upper hand for most of the second half, l... NESN.com
NBA Rumors: Pistons Put Avery Bradley On Trade Block, Eye ‘Significant’ Return
A former Boston Celtic could have a new home before the end of the season. The Detroit Pistons have made guard Avery Bradley available in trade talks ahead of the NBA’s Feb. 8 trade deadline, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday, citing sources. Detroit’s asking price for Bradley is “significant,” per Wojnarowski, who added the Pistons have been one of the league’s most “aggressive” teams leading up to the deadline. Bradley played a key role in the Pistons’ early-season success, averaging 18.3 points per game over the month of November. Detroit has struggled mightily of late, though, losing 11 of its last 13 games to dr... NESN.com
