A more sustainable Grand Prix with KISS Barcelona

This year, KISS Barcelona again had great support from World Champion and FIM Ride Green Environmental Ambassador Marc Márquez, who was joined by a group of children when he took part in the creation of a wall-painting on the topic "The Circuit's Commitment to Sustainability", which marked the inauguration of the 2018 edition of KISS Barcelona on the Thursday afternoon before the race weekend. This was one of the most special moments, as it took place next to the Paddock roundabout, where, at last year’s event, Marc Márquez, with a group of children from the Climate Justice Ambassadors group planted a hackberry, which is a typical tree of the region. Jerez testing: teams on track in Andalusia

After the stunning first Grand Prix of the season in Qatar, a few of the premier class teams are now back on track in Andalusia for testing at the Circuito de Jerez. First of those were the Repsol Honda Team of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, with the duo working on Monday to prepare for the first race of the European leg of the season, which takes place at the venue in May. Repsol Honda were also one of few teams absent from the private Jerez test in November, having elected to use those days at a different time. Source link

Consistency the key for McPhee

The first Grand Prix of the year has now truly begun in Qatar, with the floodlights of Losail International Circuit first greeting the Moto3™ grid as the lightweight class got the season in gear. The British Talent Team got off to a tougher start than form shown by rider John McPhee throughout preseason testing, with the Brit ending the first day in P20 overall - but concentrating on consistency on the harder tyre. Lewis Hamilton Knows Tiger Named Enzo; It Weirdly Isn’t Ferrari F1 Fan

Share this: To car fans, Enzo is the name of a supercar, which was the fastest road-going Ferrari in its day. But in the world of Formula One, Enzo is the name of the man who founded Scuderia Ferrari; unless you’re Lewis Hamilton, in which case it’s the name of a jungle cat. The Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver posted a picture to Instagram on Tuesday of a white tiger that he said is named Enzo. Despite sharing his name with “Il Commendatore” himself, Enzo clearly isn’t a fan of the Scuderia. We doubt Enzo has ever watched a Grand Prix, unless he gets cable, so we’re not surprised he’s TeamLH. Enzo lives at The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation animal sanctuary in Mexico, where Hamilton has visited in the past. [embedded content] Maybe Kimi Raikkonen

Aegerter injured whilst training

Fred Corminboeuf, Team Principal: "Domi went directly to hospital. An X-Ray seems to show two torn ligaments in his shoulder and a small fracture in a small bone on the upper part of the body. He is also feeling pain in one side of his body. An operation will not be necessary, however, I fear that he will not be able to race in ten days in Silverstone, the next Grand Prix." Source link
