Benfica, Anderlecht, Atlético Madrid, Qarabağ, Olympiacos, Maribor, Feyenoord, Monaco, APOEL and Borussia Dortmund would all have wanted a win by the halfway mark of this UEFA Champions League group stage – even so, do not write off their last-16 chances just yet.No team with nine points from three matches have been eliminated under the current format introduced in 2003/04. And in all 37 teams have had zero points at the halfway mark: none advanced. But (and there is always a but) the season before that, Newcastle United went through after three initial losses. How many have gone through or out on each points

Check out Sale’s reaction in the “NESN Sports Today” video above, presented by People’s United Bank. ... NESN.com

Why O.J. Simpson’s Parole-Success Chances Are High, According To Legal Experts
Share this: O.J. Simpson will likely exit prison in two-plus months. That’s the conclusion Sports Illustrated’s legal experts Michael McCann and Jon Wertheim drew in February when they assessed the Pro Football Hall of Fame running back’s chances of early release from prison. A Nevada jury convicted Simpson in 2008 on charges which include kidnapping and armed robbery and sentenced him to 33 years in prison with the chance of parole after nine years. Share this: The Golden State Warriors have a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have the best player in the world (sorry, Kevin Durant and Paul Pierce). So, don’t crown the Dubs NBA champions quite yet. Yes, the odds are stacked against the Cavs, even after their 137-116 blowout win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 at Quicken Loans Arena. Only three teams in NBA history have forced a Game 7 after falling behind 3-0, and none of them went on to win their respective series. And those teams weren’t facing one of the greatest basketball teams of all time with Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all in the starting lineup. But those teams
