Conor McGregor Denies UFC Stripped Him Of Featherweight Title Belt
Share this: Conor McGregor says he still has the UFC featherweight title belt, and if you want him to give it up, you’ll have to do so in the Octagon. UFC recently announced McGregor vacated the featherweight belt he won at UFC 205 last month after beating Eddie Alvarez. UFC rules prohibit fighters from holding two belts simultaneously, but McGregor, who also owns the lightweight belt, doesn’t appear to care. He even went as far to deny he relinquished the featherweight belt. “I’m also in something going on with the UFC, they’re trying to strip me and I was like, ‘Well, I ain’t stripped. I still got that belt, that belt is still at home right now’,” McGregor recently said at an event in Northern Ireland. “I’m
Blues’ Road Woes Could Spell Good News For Bruins In Game At TD Garden
Share this: The St. Louis Blues might as well be two different teams. At home, the Blues are 8-1-2 and pretty much unstoppable. They are scoring an average of 2.5 goals in those games, while allowing only 1.5 goals per contest. But the road Blues have been a different story. St. Louis is 2-5-1 away from home, and while they still are averaging 2.5 goals per game, their goals against average is 4.1 in those games. That sounds like music to the Boston Bruins’ ears, as they’ll welcome the Blues to TD Garden on Tuesday night. Hear more about the Blues’ road woes from NESN’s Dale Arnold and Billy Jaffe in the video from “Bruins Face-Off Live” above. Share this: The Indians are on the brink of winning their first World Series in 68 years. Cleveland took a 3-1 series lead over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday behind a dominant start from Corey Kluber. The Cubs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Dexter Fowler hit a leadoff double and first baseman Anthony Rizzo brought the center fielder home with a one-out single. But it didn’t take the Indians long to strike back, as Cleveland first baseman Carlos Santana hit a solo home run off starter John Lackey to lead off the top of the second. Kluber then helped his own cause by hitting
