Shane Vereen Injury: Giants Running Back Out For Season With Hurt Triceps
Share this: The New York Giants will have to compete in a tough division without one of their best backfield options. Giants running back Shane Vereen has a triceps injury that will require season-ending surgery, the team announced Monday. Vereen suffered the injury during the team’s Week 3 loss to the Washington Redskins but played the entire game. Vereen’s injury is a tough blow for New York, which already was without starting running back Rashad Jennings in Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins. Vereen leads the team with 147 rushing yards and a touchdown and also is tied for fourth on the Giants with eight receptions, trailing only wideouts Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard and Victory Cruz. He had been a legitimate pass-catching option out
Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson Planning To Have Knee Surgery
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson appears to be headed for surgery after he suffered a right knee injury in last week’s win over the Green bay Packers. Peterson wasn’t playing well before the injury happened. He’s ran for just 50 yards on 31 carries, and the Vikings are the only team without 100 rushing yards through the first two games combined. Still, Peterson remains one of the best players in the league and his loss for any amount of games would be a huge blow to an offense with just two offensive touchdowns all season. Fantasy football owners should look to the waiver wire or Vikings backup running backs Jerick McKinnon ... NESN.com
Adrian Peterson Suffers Knee Injury, Ruled Out For Rest Of Vikings-Packers
Share this: The Minnesota Vikings have had no luck this season when it comes to injuries. Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson hasn’t exactly been lighting up the stat sheet so far this season, but that was an afterthought following what happened Sunday against the Green Packers. After gaining a chunk of yards on a first down late in the third quarter, Peterson had trouble getting up due to a right knee injury and had to be helped off the field and into the locker room. Michele Tafoya said Vikings med staff was doing stability test on Peterson's knee. Stability test is done for ACLs, typically — Jason Cole (@JasonColeBR) September 19, 2016 The Vikings later ruled Peterson out for the rest of their “Sunday Night Football” game against the
Keenan Allen Injury: 5 Fantasy Football Replacements For Chargers Star
Fantasy football owners probably yelled “not again!” when they saw San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen leave Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a knee injury. The fear is that Allen — who missed most of last season with an injury — has torn the ACL in his right knee, but the Chargers have not officially announced the severity of the injury. Here are five receivers for Allen owners to target via the waiver the wire and/or trade market to replace him. Was Teddy Bridgewater In Danger Of Losing His Leg After Severe Knee Injury?
Share this: Teddy Bridgewater suffered a pretty brutal injury that will sideline him for the entire season, but judging by recent reports, it appears he actually got pretty lucky. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback completely tore his left ACL and dislocated his knee while suffering a non-contact injury at practice Tuesday. Bridgewater’s injury was so bad that practice was canceled, and an ambulance had to be called to take him away. Turns out it was a good thing that ambulance came quickly. According to injury expert Will Carroll, there was a chance Bridgewater could have lost his leg had he not received immediate treatment. Tony Romo Has Injury Scare After Awkwardly Landing On Back In Cowboys-Seahawks
Tony Romo just can’t catch a break. The Cowboys quarterback’s injury history needs its own encyclopedia, and he added another section to it Thursday night in Dallas’ preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Just three plays in, Romo was flushed out of the pocket before landing awkwardly on his back after being tackled from behind by defensive end Cliff Avril. Luckily the injury doesn’t appear to be too serious. But considering the QB only played in four games in 2015, this is the last thing the Cowboys needed to see in a preseason game.
