Kevin Durant’s Free Agent Destination Unknown, But Options Are Aplenty

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder just choked away a trip to the NBA Finals after losing to the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals. The bigger storyline, though, is what’s going to happen in Durant’s impending free agency. He’ll be arguably the second-biggest name ever to truly hit the free agent market this summer, right behind LeBron James. Could the 27-year-old follow in James’ footsteps and take his talents elsewhere (like South Beach)? Before we begin, we need to lay a quick groundwork of basic facts.— The 2015-16 NBA salary cap was $ 70 million. It’s expected to hit $ 92 million beginnin...

Kevin Faulk Sends NFL A Message With Tom Brady Jersey, Draft Shout-Out

Kevin Faulk just resolidified his place in New England Patriots lore. The former running back, who won three Super Bowl titles and went to five with New England, dropped a bit of excitement into Day 2 of the 2016 NFL Draft. Faulk, one of the honorary pick announcers Friday night in Chicago, came out to reveal the Patriots’ third-round selection (78th overall) while wearing a Tom Brady jersey under his suit coat. Unfortunately, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was not on ...

Love and the Cavs can only hope that’s all it is. Thumbnail photo via David Richard/USA TODAY Sports Images ...

Would Kevin Durant trade in his blue and orange for blue and gold? Broussard warns that everything is speculative and that nothing is leaking out of Durant’s camp, but rather that people around the league wouldn’t be shocked to see it happen — though the general public might be. Financially, Pro Basketball Talk’s Dan Feldman lays out the basics of how it could work, and it’s really not ...
