Everybody plays pranks on their friends. But if you and your friend both are NASCAR drivers, that leads to some very public embarrassment. Kyle Larson received a brutal reminder of that Wednesday in Las Vegas. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver was set to take part in a live Q&A on Wednesday. Beforehand, however, Larson’s buddy, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., made him the butt of his joke by pulling his chair out from under him. Was it juvenile? Perhaps. Do we care? Not even a little. (Gluck later tweeted to correct that it was Stenhouse, not Kevin Harvick, made Larson hit the deck.) This just goes to show, it’s always your closest fri... NESN.com

Kyle Shanahan Has Perfect Response To Cam Newton’s Sexist Remarks
Cam Newton has been getting hit from all sides following the sexist remark he made toward a female reporter at Wednesday’s press conference when he said it was funny to hear a woman discuss passing routes. And even though Newton offered what appeared to be a sincere apology Thursday, the Carolina Panthers quarterback continued taking on water Friday. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked what he thought of Newton’s comments and he took the opportunity to laud his assistant coach, Katie Sowers. “Honestly, I didn’t even think about that, but you’re right,” Shanahan said Friday on KNBR’s “Murph & Mac Show, as transcr... Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Have Won Some Pretty Awesome Trophies
LOUDON, N.H. — Kyle Larson and Ricky Stenhouse are two of the NASCAR Monster Energy Series’ rising stars, but success is nothing new for these two lifelong drivers. And not only is the duo two of the best young drivers in the series, they’re also good friends who come from similar racing backgrounds. NESN Fuel’s Mike Cole caught up with the buddies at New Hampshire Motor Speedway ahead of the Overton’s 301, and they chatted about their dirt track pasts, some of their greatest wins and stops at another New England sports venue — the iconic Fenway Park. Kyle Larson Flies Over Top Of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Late In Race At Daytona
Kyle Larson was one of a handful of drivers vying for the lead of Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway, but his day quickly came to an end after a small misstep. Larson was on the back straight with eight laps remaining in the Coke Zero 400 Powered by Coca-Cola and moved to the outside as he approached Turn 3. He hadn’t completely cleared Ricky Stenhouse Jr., though, so the two touched, ultimately sending Larson’s No. 42 over the hood of Stenhouse’s No. 17. The current points leader, Larson wasn’t injured in the crash, though it could have ended much worse had his car not returned to
NASCAR Fans Get ‘Rowdy,’ Rip Kyle Busch For Driving In Truck Series
NASCAR’s National series are intended to help young, up-and-coming drivers develop their skills with hopes of one day making the jump to the highest level. It might be hard these drivers to have success, though, if one of the top racers on the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is always coming down to hog victory lane. We’re talking, of course, about Kyle Busch. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has no wins on the Cup level this season, but has taken a checkered flag in the both Xfinity Series and, after his performance at Kansas Speedway on Friday, the Camping World Truck Series. But Busch’s victory in the Toyota Tundra 250 didn’t exactly sit
Celtics Wrap: Kyle Lowry’s 34-Point Night Powers Raptors To 101-94 Win
The Boston Celtics made a season-high 17 three-pointers in Friday night’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors, but the team’s poor second-half offensive performance proved to be costly. After a hot start, the Celtics shot only 28 percent in the second half en route to a 101-94 loss. Kyle Lowry provided the game-high with 34 points, while DeMar DeRozan scored 24 of his own. Isaiah Thomas’ absence proved to be costly for Boston, as no Celtic player eclipsed the 20-point threshold. With the loss, the Celtics dropped to 13-10 on the season, while Toronto improved to 16-7 and are currently just one game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top spot ... NESN.com
Kyle Schwarber Records Hit During Return To Cubs In World Series Game 1
Talk about a comeback. Chicago Cubs young slugger Kyle Schwarber tore two ligaments in his knee on April 7, just three games into Chicago’s eventual 103-win season and march to the World Series. But after pushing through his rehab, Schwarber managed to get into some Arizona Fall League games over the weekend and was activated from the disabled list in time for Game 1 of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday. He made the Cubs looks smart, nearly blasting a home run out of the park with his team trailing 3-0. The ball landed just below the top of the fence, and he legged out a double for his first
