FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots had to whittle their roster down to 75 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m. They went into the day with 80 players on their 90-man roster. The Patriots released offensive tackle Keavon Milton, a source told NESN.com. The Boston Herald first reported the news. Tight end Steven Scheu also has been released, a source told WEEI.com’s Christopher Price. Linebacker Ramon Humber also has been released, a source told the Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels. Yoan Moncada Headlines Four Red Sox On Midseason Top 100 Prospects List
The future looks bright for the Boston Red Sox. Even after trading a heap of prospects to the San Diego Padres for Craig Kimbrel over the winter, Boston entered the season with one of baseball’s best farm systems. The club’s top prospects have lived up to their potential through the first half of 2016, and they’re well represented in Baseball America’s midseason list of top 100 prospects. All told, four Red Sox prospects made the list, including four in the top 41 and three in the top 15. Oh, and a Sox prospect landed on the top spot with Yoan Moncada checking in at No. 1. Bruins First-Round Pick Dougie Hamilton Headlines List of 24 Rookies Who Will Attend Development Camp
It seems like it was yesterday that the Bruins were skating around Rogers Arena with the Stanley Cup high above their heads. But the B's development camp is set to get underway soon, as the team hopes to groom its next batch of Stanley Cup champions. This year's first-round pick Dougie Hamilton headlines the 24 players who will be in attendance. Others who will be skating at the development camp include David Warsofsky, Jared Knight and Ryan Spooner. The camp will take place Thursday, July 7 through Monday, July 11 at Ristuccia Memorial Arena in Wilmington, Mass.
