Aragon: Marquez reigns, Lorenzo gains

Although it hadn’t seemed like it, the controlled exterior of Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) was taking some effort – with MotorLand Aragon proving the mental oasis after a long run of races with no dry win. Knowing he had the pace and that the track was perfectly suited to him, Marquez even said in the pre-event Press Conference that MotorLand was a track on which he would attack, and attack he did. Classics: the best of Valencia

2013 – The first year Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) raced in the premier class was an incredible one. Arriving in Valencia as leader by 13 points, the rookie of the year had his chance at making history – with reigning Champion Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) the man left to stand in his way. After all-out war for pole position that saw the duo dip closer and closer to the possibility of a first 1:59 lap of Silverstone, won by Marquez, the race that followed was a modern classic - the two title

Lorenzo: “I could get through the day quite well”

Jorge Lorenzo: “It was a positive test. After my crash yesterday I felt quite some pain, especially in my leg, but some pills made me feel better, so I could get through the day quite well. I tried many things, especially some new tyres from Michelin on the rear, some of the them had quite a positive effect on acceleration, and a new chassis from the team, which also gave us some positive points that we will test further tomorrow.”...
