The WWE Universe was enthralled over Finn Balor’s victory over Seth Rollins which made him the inaugural WWE Universal champion. But Balor actually was injured during the match, and now has to relinquish his championship belt just hours after winning it. There were rumors that Balor was injured overnight after a photo of him wearing a sling on his right arm popped up. But the WWE confirmed the injury Monday afternoon, even tweeting out video of when the injury occurred. With the entire crowd behind her opponent, Boston’s own Sasha Banks, Charlotte accomplished her goals in a shocking ending. It was a grueling match, lasting more than 15 minutes with momentum swinging back and forth, though Charlotte seemed to hold an edge the entire time. Sasha took control late with this surprising counter, though. Banks even had Charlotte in her signature finishing hold, The Bank Statement, but Charlotte managed to roll her over and pin her for a three count to reclaim her title. What an incredible match.
