Dortmund’s inspiration: Reus back with a bang

After a match in which UEFA Champions League records were broken, it was Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus who was the centre of attention.BVB's 8-4 home win against Legia was the highest scoring match ever in this competition, but the feel-good story of the day was the return of Marco Reus from a six-month absence caused by a persistent pubis injury. Having lost Mats Hummels, İlkay Gündoğan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan last summer, BVB coach Thomas Tuchel stressed that Reus "suddenly became our fourth lost key player" and that "we have waited impatiently his return". Finn Balor Injured At SummerSlam, Forced To Relinquish WWE Universal Championshi…

Share this: Randy Orton wasn’t the only person injured at SummerSlam on Sunday night. The WWE Universe was enthralled over Finn Balor’s victory over Seth Rollins which made him the inaugural WWE Universal champion. But Balor actually was injured during the match, and now has to relinquish his championship belt just hours after winning it. There were rumors that Balor was injured overnight after a photo of him wearing a sling on his right arm popped up. But the WWE confirmed the injury Monday afternoon, even tweeting out video of when the injury occurred. It seemed that Balor dislocated his shoulder after being thrown into the boards by Rollins, but immediately popped it back in right on the ground before getting up and continuing

Seth Rollins Rips Brooklyn Barclays Center Crowd After WWE SummerSlam

Seth Rollins walked away from the biggest party of the summer feeling disappointed. Rollins, who lost his WWE universal title match against Finn Balor, took to Twitter shortly after Sunday night’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event to express displeasure with the crowd at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Since he’s a bad guy, Rollins going after the crowd could be just another way for him to garner heat and build his character. WWE superstars frequently use social media for reasons beyond advancing storylines, though, and it’s likely Rollins really was upset, as the crowd at SummerSlam wasn’t too enthusiastic about his match with Balor, which actually e... WWE SummerSlam Results: Charlotte Shocks Sasha Banks For Women’s Championship

Share this: Charlotte entered SummerSlam on Sunday night hoping to become a two-time WWE women’s champion. With the entire crowd behind her opponent, Boston’s own Sasha Banks, Charlotte accomplished her goals in a shocking ending. It was a grueling match, lasting more than 15 minutes with momentum swinging back and forth, though Charlotte seemed to hold an edge the entire time. Sasha took control late with this surprising counter, though. Banks even had Charlotte in her signature finishing hold, The Bank Statement, but Charlotte managed to roll her over and pin her for a three count to reclaim her title. What an incredible match. WWE Championship Match Ends In Controversy Ahead Of SmackDown-Raw Draft

Dean Ambrose technically still is the WWE champion, but only after a controversial ending to his title match with former Shield partner Seth Rollins on “Monday Night Raw.” The match finished after a “Superplex,” but both men had their shoulders on the ground, resulting in a draw. That meant Ambrose, who entered the night as the champion, walked out of Providence’s Dunkin’ Donuts Center with the belt around his waist. Fans without the WWE Network might not know that, though, because the final decision wasn’t made until Raw went off the air. New Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon had Rollins declared the champion at the end of the show, bu...

Kobe Bryant Attempts Penalty Kick During Halftime of Manchester United, FC Barcelona Exhibition Match (Video)

While many NBA players are lining up to jet across the Atlantic to play in leagues across Europe and China, Kobe Bryant seems content to just sit back and show off his athleticism. The perennial All-Star was reportedly going to have representatives talk to the Turkish club Besiktas on Saturday, but according to ESPN, during a news conference on Sunday, Bryant said, "I haven't spoken to Beskitas in weeks." And according to a source in an NBA.com report, there is a "zero percent" chance that Bryant will play alongside New Jersey Nets guard and Besiktas signee Deron Williams with the Turkish club. Bryant instead seems to be turning his attention to soccer. OK, so not really. But during halftime of an exhibition match in
