Elandon Roberts’ Rib Injury From Patriots-Texans Reportedly Not Serious

Elandon Roberts’ Rib Injury From Patriots-Texans Reportedly Not Serious

Elandon Roberts seemed to be in serious pain Saturday night, but it appears the New England Patriots linebacker avoided serious injury. Roberts suffered a rib injury in the third quarter of New England’s preseason game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium and was carted off the field. The Patriots reportedly got a positive update on Roberts on Sunday, though, as X-rays on his ribs came back negative, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Rib injuries can be very painful even if there’s no structural damage, which would explain why Roberts didn’t return to Saturday’s game. Dolphins Contacted Peyton Manning About Possible Comeback Last Season

Share this: The Miami Dolphins lost starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a brutal ACL tear in Week 14 last season, and the Fins apparently toyed with the idea of bringing in a new signal-caller before turning to backup Matt Moore. In an interview with The Times-Picayune, Archie Manning revealed that Dolphins head coach Adam Gase reached out to Peyton Manning via text following Tannehill’s injury, pitching the legendary QB to come out of retirement. “It started with Gase,” Archie Manning said. “He said, ‘Hey 18, Tannehill went down.’ He said, ‘I think he’s going to miss some time. The first question I’m going to get at the press conference in the morning is if I’m going to try to bring you to Miami. What

Jeanie Buss Wins Legal Battle With Brother For Control Of Lakers

Share this: The legal battle for control over the Los Angeles Lakers effectively ended Monday. Controlling owner Jeanie Buss removed her brother Jim as a trustee and replaced him with her sister Janie, according to documents obtained by ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. Los Angeles Superior Court agreed that the three trustees are obligated to do everything in their power to ensure that Jeanie Buss remains the head of the Lakers board of directors and the controlling owner for life. “It’s great that we were able to work this out so fast. We’ve resolved everything clearly and cleanly and now we can get back to work,” Jeanie Buss told ESPN, per Shelburne. “Laker fans deserve success — and now we can focus again on bringing it to

Kevin Durant Seen In Wheelchair, Twitter Goes Crazy With Paul Pierce Jokes

Share this: Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant will miss at least four weeks with a sprained MCL and a bone bruise on his left leg after center Zaza Pachulia fell into him during Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Wizards. Durant arrived back in Oakland in a wheelchair Wednesday, and KTVU had a helicopter waiting to film his return. Sure this is a disheartening image for Warriors and NBA fans alike, but Twitter managed to bring some levity to the situation by referencing the most notable wheelchair moment in NBA history, over and over again. And it was low hanging fruit in light of Paul Pierce’s recent war of words with Warriors forward Draymond Green. We’re sure everyone remembers Pierce leaving Game 1
