According to NCAA rules, student athletes are not allowed to profit from their names in any way. The segment contrasts Bauman’s plight with that of former UCLA basketball player Ed O’Bannon, who is suing the NCAA for using his likeness in the EA Sports video game NCAA Basketball 09.
