UFC Star Nate Diaz Takes Shot At Conor McGregor, Dana White On Instagram

Share this: Whether his next fight is in the UFC or a boxing ring, Conor McGregor manages to stay in the spotlight. This time, however, it was due to someone who probably is not the biggest fan of the Irish fighter. Nate Diaz, who McGregor has fought twice, was responding to a picture of his foe posing with UFC President Dana White. McGregor is set to fight undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on Aug. 26, but many fight fans believe there eventually will be an ending to the trilogy of Diaz vs. McGregor as well. It’s not a bad idea given the excitement of the first two fights. Thumbnail photo via Joshua Dahl/USA TODAY Sports Images Related NESN.com Stories Source link

Conor McGregor Has Punishment For Epic UFC 202 Press Conference Changed

Share this: Conor McGregor’s penalty for his involvement in that epic pre-UFC 202 press conference with Nate Diaz just got a bit lighter. McGregor’s original punishment — a $150,000 fine and 50 hours of community service — has been decreased to a $25,000 fine and 25 hours of community service after “The Notorious” came to a settlement with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, according to FOX Sports’ Damon Martin. “I can honestly tell you that I’ve walked out of this commission room during my tenure many times and said, ‘that was exactly the right medicine, we did exactly what we should have done’ and there’s a few times where I’ve walked out and said I think we went a little too far,” NSAC

Conor McGregor Fined $150K For Role In UFC 202 Press Conference Fiasco

Share this: Once Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz stepped into the octagon at August’s UFC 202, the two bitter rivals had a fight for the ages. But that’s not what we’re talking about roughly two months later. Instead, the big news Monday regarded the fighters’ chaotic UFC 202 press conference and the consequences that came from their bottle-throwing fiasco. While Diaz’s punishment still hasn’t been determined, McGregor was fined $150,000 and ordered to serve 50 hours of community service within six months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday. The press conference was quite the spectacle, as McGregor showed up late and Diaz ended up leaving early, but not before the two started shouting swears at each other and hurling water bottles. The good news for McGregor is

Conor McGregor Learns From Mistakes, Exacts Revenge Vs. Nate Diaz At UFC 202

Share this: Through the first three rounds, it appeared as though Saturday’s UFC 202 fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz was destined for the same result as their first meeting. But this time, McGregor was able to turn the tide. McGregor was the aggressor to start, and he had a very smart strategy. He knew he had to take away Diaz’s right leg so Diaz couldn’t plant it and deliver big strikes as the bout wore on, so that’s exactly what he did. You could tell as the first and second rounds went on that Diaz was starting to lose his plant leg. But Diaz started to regain momentum, and he was the one who started connecting on successful combinations, which started to knock McGregor

Conor McGregor-Nate Diaz Rivalry Features These Insane Trash-Talking Moments

Share this: Conor McGregor and trash talk go hand in hand, but losses usually don’t. However, that all changed back in March when McGregor suffered a stunning loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. But if you thought that might change McGregor’s approach with a microphone before his rematch at UFC 202 on Saturday, think again. McGregor had plenty of insults for Diaz at the pre-fight press conference Wednesday, and even water bottles weren’t safe from an intense showdown just a few days before the big bout. But that was far from the only entertaining moment of this rivalry. Not by a long shot. Click to see the rivalry’s top trash-talking moments >> Photos via Mark J.
