Share this: DeMarcus Cousins’ name has been a focal point of the NBA rumor mill for more than a year, and that doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. The Sacramento Kings center is averaging 26 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season, but the Kings are predictably struggling as a team and seem destined for another draft lottery finish. “I’d say it’s 50-50,” a Western Conference executive told Sam Amico of Amico Hoops when asked if Cousins will be traded this season. “If not, it’s not necessarily because they want to keep him.” Another executive provided an interesting view on Cousins’ situation, including a food comparison. “They’ll never get what they want in return,” an Eastern conference general manager said. “They think Cousins is worth more

Paul Pierce Dressed Up As Rick James On Clippers Bench Is Amazing
Share this: Paul Pierce didn’t play in the Los Angeles Clippers’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Halloween because of an injury, but that didn’t dampen the veteran forward’s holiday spirit. “The Truth” dressed up as Rick James for Halloween and sat on the Clippers bench dressed as the former music star. Anthony Davis Just Had One Of The Best Games In NBA History
Share this: In every preseason poll, there’s been one constant layer of disrespect that nobody’s talking about: Anthony Davis has been completely forgotten. The New Orleans Pelicans’ superstar was left off every MVP prediction and overlooked for any possible award he could receive. Karl-Anthony Towns apparently is the new “it” star in the NBA, according to everyone, and the often-injured Davis is simply a thing of the past. Except he isn’t. The Pels’ 23-year-old star reminded us all of that Wednesday in his season debut, posting an incredible stat line of 50 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, seven steals and four blocks in 41 minutes in New Orleans’ 107-102 loss to the Denver Nuggets. A notable stat: He nearly posted a famous 5×5 line (five or more

He may have lasted only two years in Chicago and spent 11 seasons on losing teams around the league but Brand was a model of consistency in the NBA. Brand averaged over 18 points and nine rebounds per game through his first eight seasons before tearing his Achilles in 2007. He fought back to rehab from the injury and continue to produce in the NBA for nearly another decade before finally deciding to retire. NESN.com’s Rachel Holt tells you what Brand had to say at the conclusion of his career in the video
Poll: Could The 2007-08 Celtics Take Down Warriors’ Current ‘Superteam’?
Share this: The Golden State Warriors are taking the idea of an NBA “superteam” to a whole new level, and the rest of the league isn’t too happy about it. Paul Pierce was the latest to sound off about Kevin Durant’s decision to sign with the Warriors this offseason, making them the clear favorites to win the 2017 NBA title after posting an NBA-record 73 wins last season. Those comments didn’t sit well with Golden State’s Draymond Green, who fired back at Pierce on Thursday. Their bickering got us thinking: Can the Warriors be the best superteam of all time, or would a team like Pierce’s 2007-08 Boston Celtics give them a run for their money? That Celtics team, after all, went 66-16 and won
