by Zack Cox on Wed, Oct 18, 2017 at 5:44PM 2,721 FOXBORO, Mass. — Gordon Hayward’s gruesome ankle injury was the talk of the Boston sports world Wednesday, even down the road at Gillette Stadium. New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has suffered several severe injuries during his NFL career, offered his reaction to Hayward’s, which came just minutes into the NBA All-Star’s Celtics debut. “I wish him nothing but wellness,” Gro... NFL Rumors: Colin Kaepernick Files Grievance Against NFL Owners For Collusion
Colin Kaepernick still hasn’t found a job in the NFL, and the quarterback reportedly is about to take action. Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman reported Sunday that Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL owners for colluding to keep him out of the league. Freeman also reported that a statement from Kaepernick should be released soon. This, of course, would be a big development, as it has been assumed by many that Kaepernick is being blackballed by the league due to his protest during the national anthem last season. Kaepernick played well in 2016 for the lowly San Francisco 49ers, as he threw for 2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns and fo... NESN.com
Bengals Fire Offensive Coordinator After Two Straight Games With Zero Touchdowns
It’s not a good time to be a member of the Cincinnati Bengals organization. The Bengals are off to an 0-2 start this season with a 20-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 and a 13-9 loss to the Houston Texans on Thursday. The team failed to score a touchdown in either game, so on Friday, Cincinnati fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese and promoted its quarterbacks coach. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis also released a statement about the firing, as posted by Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Bengals certainly needed a change, but it’s doubtful that Lazor is the answer. His experience as an NFL offensive coordinator

NFL Predictions 2017: AFC, NFC, Awards Picks For Upcoming Season
Football is back, which means it’s almost time to start judging players and teams based on real, in-season results rather than analyzing recent history and the potential impact of offseason moves. In other words, the slate has been wiped clean for all 32 NFL franchises. And while it’s often easy to pinpoint which teams will be contenders and which are destined for pretender status, there are plenty of other examples to suggest a few underdogs could emerge from the pack, both in the AFC and NFC. NESN.com’s Mike Cole, Ricky Doyle and Andre Khatchaturian recently made their AFC and NFC divisional picks while previewing the 2017 NFL season on “The Spread... NESN.com
IndyCar’s Simon Pagenaud Parties With Julian Edelman, Apologizes To Colts
When he’s not running in-cuts for the New England Patriots, Julian Edelman is busy being the NFL’s preeminent social butterfly. The star wide receiver’s newest buddy? None other than defending Verizon IndyCar Series champion Simon Pagenaud. The French driver, who’s great behind the wheel but damn near mentally scarring with a hula-hoop, is in Los Angeles for Wednesday’s ESPY awards. On Tuesday, though, he stopped the ESPN Body Issue party, where he caught up with a chest hair-baring Edelman. We’re sure Pagenaud’s apologies were accepted without protest by the Indianapolis Colts, who now understand what it’s like to be at the cent... NESN.com
The Best Part About Patriots’ Lavish Super Bowl Rings? They Came On NFL’s Dime
Share this: The New England Patriots’ latest Super Bowl victory arguably was their sweetest, and the fantastic rings they received Friday were icing on the cake. But hear us out: It somehow gets even sweeter for the Patriots and their fans. New England players, coaches, team executives and staffers received a total of 150 Super Bowl rings Friday, which each featured exactly 283 diamonds in a terrific nod to the team’s historic Super Bowl LI comeback against the Atlanta Falcons. The best part? Those rings all came on the NFL’s dime. As it does every year, the league covered the cost for the Patriots’ fancy bling, paying for all 150 rings. When the Pats last won the Super Bowl in February 2015, their rings
