Cubs Finally Raise World Series Banner After Weather Delays Celebration
Share this: The Chicago Cubs already had to wait 108 years to win another World Series, so what’s a few extra hours before lifting the 2016 championship banner high above Wrigley Field? The Cubs’ celebration of their historic championship run was delayed Monday night due to weather, but the fans and players eventually got to see the moment they all had been waiting for once the rain let up. And it certainly was an incredible scene prior to Chicago’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nice try, Mother Nature. Nothing could dampen the spirits of Cubs fans Monday night. Andre Ethier Is Selling This Incredible Arizona Mansion For $5 Million
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier could turn a nice profit on his Arizona mansion. Ethier, who purchased the home for $ 2 million back in 2010, is selling his mansion for $ 5 million. That’s obviously a lot of dough, but a glimpse inside (and outside) suggests it actually might be a bargain for whoever has the financial means to land the piece of property. The mansion features a batting cage, a gym, a huge pool and a whole bunch of other cool stuff. It includes six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and is 9,326 square feet, according to a listing on Zillow.com. Here’s more from the realtor, via Zillow.com,
Bruins Prepare For Important Matchup With Second-Place Senators
The Boston Bruins are 8-2-0 under interim head coach Bruce Cassidy. The team is playing its best hockey of the season, and it’ll need to play another strong game on the road Monday night against the Ottawa Senators. The Sens are two points above the B’s for second place in the Atlantic Division, and another two points for either club would be a nice jolt to its playoff hopes. Berkshire Bank Hockey Night In New England: Projected Bruins-Canadiens Lineups
Share this: The Bruce Cassidy era in Boston is off to a nice start. The Bruins are 2-0-0 since Cassidy took over as interim head coach when Claude Julien was fired last Tuesday, but his toughest test is Sunday night at TD Garden when the B’s host the first-place Montreal Canadiens. Carey Price is expected to be the Habs’ starting goaltender, and he’s pretty much owned the Bruins throughout his career with a 24-8-4 record and a .924 save percentage. However, he’s struggled mightily in four February games. Price has a poor .875 save percentage with 13 goals allowed in those matchups. Price’s road doesn’t get any easier Sunday, as the Bruins have scored four or more goals in six of their last seven games. Boston is

Gary Sheffield’s Tampa Mansion Is Hitting The Market For $1.8M Steal
Share this: If you want to live like a member of the 500-home run club and have a couple million dollars to spare, well, you’re in luck. Former Major League Baseball outfielder and renowned slugger Gary Sheffield is putting his Tampa, Fla., mansion on the market for $1.8 million, according to Busted Coverage. That’s obviously no bargain, but it’s relatively cheap as far as former professional athletes’ homes go. (Just ask Scottie Pippen.) Sheffield’s home still packs plenty of pop, though. Located in the “exclusive gated community” of Harbour Island, the 5,492-square foot mansion boasts five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and a nice secluded pool. It’s good to know the 48-year-old, who hit 509 home runs with eight different teams over his 22-year career, still
