The Boston Bruins need all hands on deck Monday against the Nashville Predators, and the B’s defense certainly did its part during the first period. Boston’s defense was aggressive early at Bridgestone Arena which led to multiple offensive chances for the Bruins. The B’s, however, were unable to capitalize on the offensive opportunities in the first frame as the Predators led 2-0 after one period. Bengals Fire Offensive Coordinator After Two Straight Games With Zero Touchdowns
It’s not a good time to be a member of the Cincinnati Bengals organization. The Bengals are off to an 0-2 start this season with a 20-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 and a 13-9 loss to the Houston Texans on Thursday. The team failed to score a touchdown in either game, so on Friday, Cincinnati fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese and promoted its quarterbacks coach. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis also released a statement about the firing, as posted by Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Bengals certainly needed a change, but it’s doubtful that Lazor is the answer. His experience as an NFL offensive coordinator
Dustin Pedroia Continues To Hit Well For Red Sox Entering Series Vs. Angels
Share this: The Boston Red Sox’s offensive star over the past week-plus has been pretty obvious. And the Boston second baseman also has been coming through with clutch at-bats while his teammates have gone through some ups and downs at the plate. Hear more about Pedroia’s recent offensive success from NESN’s Adam Pellerin and Tim Wakefield in the video from “Red Sox First Pitch,” presented by Men’s Wearhouse, above. Cam Newton’s Panthers Teammate Hilariously Spoof His Over-The-Top Birthday Video
Share this: Leave it to the offensive line to keep the superstar quarterback in check. Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton turned 28 years old last month, the former NFL MVP celebrated by posting a lavish (some might say over-the-top) video on his social media accounts to celebrate the occasion. The video basically just featured the star QB rubbing the fact he has a better life than all of us in our faces — not that we’re complaining or anything, we’d do the same if we could. But Newton’s not the only one in that Panthers locker room who can have a good time. Panthers offensive lineman Ryan Kalil posted a parody video of sorts Monday morning, showcasing what looks to be an equally fun

Red Sox Getting Tremendous Offensive Production From Dynamic Catching Duo
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 8-1 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park in part due to a stellar performance by catcher Christian Vazquez. Vazquez got the start behind the plate over teammate Sandy Leon and provided a stellar performance calling the game behind the plate and at the plate, too. Vazquez went 4 for 4 with a two singles, a double, a triple and two RBIs in the win. The Red Sox are getting terrific offensive production from their defensive-minded catchers this season.
