by Zack Cox on Tue, Jan 24, 2017 at 4:39PM 2,230 Even with Rob Gronkowski sidelined, the New England Patriots boast arguably the deepest stable of offensive weapons in the NFL. And, one can argue, perhaps the deepest the franchise has had under head coach Bill Belichick. That means some players who might be the top dogs elsewhere are the third, fourth or fifth option in New England, which easily could lead to griping about playing time, touches and the like. It’s certainly resulted in... NESN.com

Patriots’ Long-Awaited Turnovers Help Turn Tide In Hard-Fought Win Over Jets
by Zack Cox on Sun, Nov 27, 2016 at 10:12PM 1,275 EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — After surrendering a Brandon Marshall touchdown catch on the New York Jets’ third offensive possession Sunday, Malcolm Butler had just one thought on his mind when he returned to the field a few minutes later. “I gave up a touchdown,” the New England Patriots cornerback told himself. “I’ve got to try to do something.” So, he did. On the second play of the Jets’ next series, Butler ripped the... NESN.com
Marcus Smart Thoroughly Enjoyed Flopping On Solomon Hill’s Huge Dunk
Marcus Smart isn’t afraid to throw his body around, and sometimes his fearlessness results in some pretty epic flops. Monday night was one of those times. During the second quarter of the Boston Celtics’ matchup with the Pelicans at Smoothie King Center, New Orleans forward Solomon Hill drove the lane and jumped over Smart for a vicious, poster-esque slam. Or so he thought. Smart managed to draw the offensive foul on Hill by collapsing to the floor, which made Hill pretty upset after his premature celebration. Smart, on the other hand, was quite pleased with the work he had done. Hill’s leg appeared to make some conta... NESN.com
Patriots Practice Attendance: Injuries Piling Up On Offensive Line
Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ offensive line depth is quickly diminishing. Guards Tre’ Jackson, who is on the physically unable to perform list, and Jonathan Cooper and center Bryan Stork were absent from Day 4 of training camp Sunday. Wide receiver Keshawn Martin was newly absent, and running back Dion Lewis, also on PUP, hasn’t been spotted yet this summer. Cooper suffered a plantar fascia strain Saturday during practice, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Guards Josh Kline and Shaq Mason haven’t been full participants in practice, leaving rookies Joe Thuney and Ted Karras on the top offensive line unit. Wide receivers Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Nate Washington, offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, tight end Clay Harbor and defensive tackle Alan

Here’s a word of warning to any and all baseballs near the Boston Red Sox: hide. The Red Sox offense is clicking on all cylinders right now, and that’s a big reason Boston is among Major League Baseball’s best teams through the first month and a half of the season. The Sox open a four-game weekend series with the Houston Astros on Thursday, and Boston comes in riding a four-game winning streak on the heels of obliterating the Oakland Athletics in a three-game series. The Red Sox outscored Oakland 40-15 over the three games, and the Boston offense sits at or near the top of just about every single offensive category in baseball. But is
