Olympic Men’s Soccer Schedule 2016: Dates, Start Times, Scores At Rio Games

Share this: Brazil soccer is hoping the new direction it has taken will lead to Olympic glory. Brazil never has won a gold medal at an Olympic games. Newly installed coach Rogerio Micale, who took over the host nation’s U-23 team last month after Dunga’s

Olympic Games Rio 2016: Officials Lose Keys To Stadium, Had To Use Bolt Cutters

Share this: Things in Rio de Janeiro aren’t off to a hot start ahead of the official opening to the 2016 Summer Olympics, and they reached an almost comical peak Wednesday. While the Olympics kick off with the opening ceremonies Friday, women’s soccer got an early start with its preliminary round Wednesday. Brazil had the honor of christening Olympic Stadium with a match against China, but there was just one little problem. Rio officials lost the keys to one of the gates. Compared to concerns about Zika virus and water contaminated with human waste that’s almost sure to get athletes sick, though, losing a key is nothing. Plus, the host country ended up earning a 3-0 win, so you win some, you lose some, we guess. Thumbnail photo via Geoff

Olympic Tennis 2016: Dates, Start Times, TV Schedule, Live Stream

The story of tennis at the 2016 Summer Olympics, like golf, so far has been the amount of men not heading to Rio de Janeiro to battle for gold. Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka, Milos Ranoic, Dominic Thiem, John Isner, Feliciano Lopez, Tomas Berdych, Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic all have pulled out of the Olympics due to either injuries or concerns over the Zika virus. But the defending men’s and women’s champions — Andy Murray (Great Britain) and Serena Williams (United States) — both will be back, as well as the No. 1 men’s tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic. And, in a surprise turn of events, Rafael Nadal will return from the injuri... NESN.com

Team USA Hoops Avoiding Lovely (LOL) Olympic Village By Staying On Cruise Ship

Share this: The buildup to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero couldn’t be going any better (sarcasm alert). If the political unrest in Brazil, Zika virus, major safety concerns and toxic water wasn’t enough, add a less than ideal Olympic village to the list of problems. But the United States men’s and women’s basketball teams won’t have to worry about the exposed wired and blocked toilets in the village, as they will stay aboard “The Silver Cloud” luxury cruise ship in Rio’s Maua port terminal instead. (Just stay out of the water and avoid banana boats, please.) Other athletes won’t be as lucky, though, as Dallas Mavericks center and Team Australia member Andrew Bogut pointed out on Twitter on Tuesday. relaxar meus amigos brasileiros. ele estava tirando
