BOSTON — The Red Sox open their first series against the New York Yankees on Friday, and they get to do it in the friendly confines of Fenway Park. Brock Holt is back in the lineup after getting a day off against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, and he’ll play in left field and bat in his usual No. 7 spot in the order. Catcher Ryan Hanigan also will take over behind the plate for left-hander Henry Owens and bat eighth. After playing against their teammates Tuesday night in Providence, the Bruins will get to take on players from another organization on Wednesday when they open their preseason schedule with an exhibition game against the Senators.
