The Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles will play two at Fenway Park on Tuesday. Following Monday’s rain-out, the two teams will square off in a day-night doubleheader. Boston will send southpaw David Price to the mound in Game 1, while the Orioles will counter with right-hander Ryan Meisinger. Price is looking to put a bow on perhaps his best season in a Red Sox uniform, as the the 33-year-old enters the game with a 15-7 record and a 3.53 ERA across 29 starts. The Boston Red Sox rolled in Game 1 of their day-night doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles, winning the matinee 5-0 behind David Price. Boston will hand the ball to Hector Velazquez in Game 2, while the O’s will turn to Yefry Ramirez. Velazquez is 7-0 with a 2.94 ERA on the season. He has been a valuable member of the Red Sox’s staff this season, turning in quality innings in both the bullpen and starting rotation. These Boston Red Sox never say die, and that never was more apparent than in Friday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. Boston fell into an early 8-3 hole, but the Sox battled back to take the lead. The Red Sox score six runs in the sixth, three in the seventh and five in the eighth to beat the O’s 19-12. The Boston Red Sox will look to make it three wins out of four against the Baltimore Orioles in Sunday’s series finale at Fenway Park. The Sox rebounded from Friday’s 7-4 loss with a 6-3 win Saturday night. Boston will turn to left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, who gave up three in five innings in a losing effort last time out against the Oakland Athletics. The Boston Red Sox right fielder went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run thanks to his 14th blast of the season in the 7-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night at Fenway Park. “I’m not trying to be a power hitter,” Betts said after the game, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “I work hard every day … but being consistent is the main thing.” Well, the power is most certainly there for the 25-year-old. Hanley Ramirez’s absence from the Boston Red Sox’s lineup was short-lived. The first baseman left Thursday’s game against the New York Yankees after being hit by a Sonny Gray fastball on the wrist. Ramirez sat out Friday’s victory over the Baltimore Orioles, but is back Saturday for the second leg of the three-game series at Fenway Park. The Red Sox will look to continue their winning ways, as their 11-2 record is the best in the American League. The Orioles, meanwhile, will hope to right the ship after falling to 5-9 on the season.
