The Boston Bruins continued their recent hot streak with a 5-2 victory over the Florida Panthers on Saturday at TD Garden. The Bruins have responded nicely from their four-game losing streak in mid-March by putting together a four-game winning streak to vault them back into the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Boston didn’t play their best hockey Saturday, but it will take the two points and head to Chicago for a Sunday afternoon tilt with the Blackhawks. Losing never is easy, and freakouts are bound to happen as a result. But one Carolina Panthers fan took things to a whole new level after his team fell to the Denver Broncos 24-10 in Super Bowl 50. It’ll be a battle of the defenses when the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos take the field for Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, at least according to one simulator. WhatIfSports.com used its NFL simulation engines to make a Super Bowl 50 prediction, and after running it 501 times it seems Peyton Manning’s nightmares will be littered with Carolina Blue. The Panthers won Super Bowl 50 in 59.6 percent of the simulations by an average score of 20-16. Manning typically outgained Cam Newton in their air, 208 passing yards to 193, and each averaged roughly one touchdown and one interception.
