Auston Matthews’ Parents Overcome With Emotion Watching Son Score Four Goals

Ema and Brian Matthews saw their 19-year-old son selected No. 1 overall in the 2016 NHL Draft, and just a few months later they witnessed him make history in his debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Auston scored four goals, the most ever by a player in their NHL debut, Wednesday in the Maple Leafs’ 5-4 overtime road loss to the Ottawa Senators. Andrew Benintendi Collects First MLB Hit; Parents Celebrate With Kiss

The Boston Red Sox’s 22-year-old outfielder took an 83 mph 0-1 splitter from Seattle Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma the opposite way for a clean base hit to left field. Several members of Benintendi’s family, including his parents, two sisters, several aunts and uncles and a bunch of friends all were in attendance. They all were pretty excited.
