After spending over a month as a spectator, Patrice Bergeron was back at it with the Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon. Bergeron was sensational in his return from injury, scoring two goals and dishing out two assists in the Bruins’ 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators at TD Garden. The Boston Bruins fared well without their best player Thursday night, but they are hoping to have him back for Saturday’s game. Patrice Bergeron was a late scratch for the B’s 3-1 Game 4 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series, which resulted in them taking a 3-1 lead back to Boston. In Saturday night’s 7-1 blowout win over the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden, Bergeron’s scoring prowess made the difference for Boston.
