Celebrities Butcher ‘Sweet Caroline’ In Sing-Along At 2017 Grammys

Share this: Singing “Sweet Caroline” during the middle of the eighth inning is a Fenway Park tradition, so it’s not surprising that Boston Red Sox fans would take offense when the words to one of their anthems are butchered. Enter comedian James Corden and the many celebrities who joined him in a karaoke version of the popular Neil Diamond song at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Corden brought a fake car into the award show and conducted an impromptu sing-along of “Sweet Caroline” with Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Diamond himself, among others. Unfortunately for all of those involved, most of the members of the carpool karaoke didn’t exactly know all of the lyrics. As you can imagine, the Twitter reaction was

Usain Bolt hopes documentary will show people his ‘simple li…

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Usain Bolt is now a movie star. He refuses to say he’s an actor. Such a distinction is important for the Jamaican sprinting great and nine-time Olympic champion. Until his competitive career ends next year, Bolt will continue playing only one role: that of the world’s fastest man, someone who beat the odds to acquire immense fame and fortune on his way to becoming one of the biggest stars in global sport. As such, it’s not a made-for-Hollywood version of himself that takes center stage in the documentary “I Am Bolt,” which is being released Monday in theaters and on demand. As the title wants viewers to believe, the Bolt who is in the film is the very same

Tom Brady Has No Issue With Contact Sports, Or If His Kids Play Them

Share this: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has done a remarkable job handling contact throughout his career. And despite the inherent risk that he’s mostly eluded, Brady supports contact sports, even if his kids choose to play them. While speaking Monday morning on WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan,” Brady said he’d allow his oldest son, Jack, to play contact sports, if he asks to. “I won’t tell him that he can’t, I’ll tell you that,” Brady said, via WEEI.com. “I had a lot of people tell me that I can’t. I won’t tell my kids they can’t do anything that they want to do. Whatever they choose to do I will fully support. If it is playing contact sports, I think contact sports

David Ortiz Reveals How He Stays Calm Under Pressure In Big Situations

Share this: [embedded content] No one relishes the big moment quite like Big Papi. David Ortiz could be the best clutch hitter in Major League Baseball history, and his ability to come through in key spots stems from his ability to put everything into perspective. The Boston Red Sox designated hitter had a tough upbringing in the Dominican Republic, with violence and poverty being the norm in his neighborhood, so whatever happens on the diamond seems relatively minor in the grand scheme of life. “Let me tell you, man. When I was a kid, I’d be playing in my front yard, in front of my house, and all of a sudden there was a shooting going on, and you were looking at yourself just

Angry 49ers Fan Burns Colin Kaepernick Jersey While Playing National Anthem

Share this: For some reason, people are still talking about Colin Kaepernick exercising his constitutional rights to freedom of speech. In case you’ve been living under a rock this weekend, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback didn’t stand up for the national anthem before Friday’s preseason game. It’s not the first time Kaepernick has done it (some reports claim he did it all last season), but rather the first time anyone noticed or took issue with it. His comments after the game explaining why are causing outrage across the Internet. This fan took it to a new level, though, and performed the incredibly cliche Internet act of burning Kaepernick’s jersey. He then turned the national anthem on and saluted the jersey (presumably, because there’s
